As soon as you click "play game" and the install box appears, the license is added to your account and you get earned card drops.

Oh, and a while ago Steam added the ability to Remove Free 2 Play licenses from your account, from the account page. I tried it just because, and removed Defiance from my list, and then reactivated it.
I did NOT get another set of card drops :(
So, only $0.20, but a true free $0.20 (5 cents per card after fees).

Either they fixed it, or it just doesn't like me.
Does it list Defiance under your account details at https://store.steampowered.com/account/ ?

The Square Enix Humble Bundle seems to have quietly added the additional beat the average games. I didn't get an email about it.

They added it (and emailed me) yesterday. Wasn't worth commenting on because who the hell wants Just Cause 1?

The only Humble Bundle email I got yesterday was the Week Long Square Enix sale. Nothing about the unlocked games (and I bought the bundle).
The Humble Store has Final Fantasy III (Steam) for 50% off (7.99). Lowest that has been. And being one of the JRPG titles, they don't usually go much lower. FFVII and FFVIII are also up there for 50% off (5.99 each) but it's been there before.

And it says that the Final Fantasy titles were available for 75% for a limited time, but I didn't see them.

I saw Bundle Stars had Shadowrun Online for 67% off ($9.99)
It's an Early Access game, and while the name sounds like an MMO, it sounded to me more like a smaller online multiplayer game. But if you are interested in it, I think this is a decent price.

JShackles, the guy behind Enhanced Steam, has a program out called "Idle Master" that will automate card idling. I haven't played with it yet but the gist is that you run it and it'll idle a game until there's no card drops left then move to the next game, etc. I assume it works on the same principle as SAM but, again, I haven't poked around at it yet. It looks as though it takes some tinkering to get going and it more complex than just clicking SAM icons and I'm home sick and a little foggy so unwilling to try and tackle it.

The Amazon Free App O' the Day is Steve Jackson's Sorcery! which is a sorta Choose Your Own Adventure/RPG hybrid. Folks seem excited about it and it's usually five bucks so why not get it for free?
