Even a temp mute and nuke "Quarantine" feature would probably be helpful.

Doubt it. I think most of us who do a lot of reporting are pretty trustworthy.

Jade Empire: Special Edition is $2.99 at GOG. Supposedly it runs a lot better than the Steam edition (which I hear takes a lot of fiddling and tweaking to get going).

I finally got it working, after a lot of fiddling, and it ran terribly. So I'll attest to that. I mean, I can't comment on the GOG version, but I wouldn't recommend the Steam one.

Ugh, I made the mistake of picking up Steam Jade Empire a while back. Pain in the *** to get to run.

Even still, I'd say the benefits would far outweigh the potential drawbacks. Especially if there are some pretty harsh penalties for abuse, and if this is only given to very trustworthy people.

I'm sure the admins have at least a mental list of posters who don't have a record of causing trouble and can be trusted with a little something more.

People complained about the sales event being rigged. By either the community or Steam itself.

Now look at what is happening. One team is winning everyday.

[sarcasm]So much better[/sarcasm]

It was better when people were working together. (Or Steam made it look like they were)

Card prices are still dropping. It want because of the people working together. It was just because the first days were over and it happened like that every year.

Summer Sale card prices are dropping. General game card prices are still firmer and higher than before the sale. I don't think people were crafting "to help their team" so much as "might as well get a point in and be eligible".

Keep in mind that you just need to contribute to be eligible. The day Blue was going to win, I farmed half the Castle Crasher cards and then bought the other half for 8¢ each. I sure as hell wasn't going to buy four or five Summer Sale cards for 30¢ each when a Castle Crashers badge still gave a point and put my name into the hat. Between that and the natural growing glut of Summer Sale cards (as people keep voting, buying games, etc) it makes sense that they would drop while other game cards stayed firmer in pricing.

For the 1:Bajillion chance of winning even if my team won, I don't really care what the story is anyway nor have I put any actual effort into it.

I'm still getting 10 to 20 cents a card.

I'm talking the Steam Summer Adventure cards.
Cards in general saw a dip in prices at the beginning of the event, but not because people stopped buying them, more because a lot of people looking to make a quick half buck on a game's drops started selling them.

Just seems to me that "un-rigging" the system has caused one group of people willing to spend money to take the lead each day. Seems like Red is well on it's way to be 3 days in a row, and could easily take all 5.

I haven't been getting any summer cards from voting, which is annoying. I think I got 2 or 3 total this whole event, and only 1 from voting. I guess voting from the app doesn't count.

[EDIT]

Which is annoying, because voting from the app DOES disable your ability to vote in the launcher.

Voting from the app does count for the first two, but you need to vote in the main client for the third in order to get the card.

Hmm... I vote from the website on my mobile and it counts. Haven't tried voting from the App (the app sucks, you can't do anything good on it).

I've never crafted a badge. I sold a foil for 3$ once just to see what it's like months ago. Cards just kind of pile up in my inventory and there they rot.

Also I finished South Park at 18 hours with side quests. Was worth it. Now I need to decide what to play next.

They did get me 65 dollars worth of games on sale this summer without spending any money from my credit card.

Edit:
I voted for the Sci-Fi RTS this time around, but I'm sure Skyrim and Reckoning will win it.

Edit: Looking at my market history I have 1807 results, since 1/2 of them are listing entries and 1/2 are sales means Ive sold approx 903 cards (rounded down). Average Card price is 13-18 cents per. To date I've made approximately 135 dollars from free cards, this isn't taking into account back in card beta when they sold for 50~75 cents per.

Enhanced Steam does all the math for me. My total sales on the Market is $115.70
(I did sell a couple random TF2 items for a few pennies)

How are you getting so many cards? Just getting lucky on booster packs or you have that many games?

I'm not level 8, so my votes don't get me cards or something. Lame.

Also, re: a temporary mute/quarantine option, I'd be just fine with it if a single misuse would get me banned permanently. I'd really just want a tool to deal with the thread spammers.

Steam really has hit it out of the park with this card business.

They make a % of each sale, and get additional game sales as people spend held positive "free" balances.

Somewhere, there is the source of these funds, just throwing money at everyone on steam in exchange for their nothing.

We must find the source.
