GamersGate Week 2 Monday deals: All Kalypso Games 80%. They have Omerta: City of Gangsters Gold for 6.00 which from what I can tell is the lowest price by 1.49.

Child of Light is pretty fun so far... a town full of people that I assume are turned into Crows by magic... or maybe they were always Crows, not sure. But one is still the town drunk, slouched in the middle of town with a bottle, sloshed.

I think you can get it 20% off on GMG still.

Played for 4 hours or so. Did a lot of exploring. Combat system and crafting/equipment system seems well done, if potentially a little simplistic (at least to start, maybe it gets more complicated).

The gem system imbues your equipment, accessories, or weapons with elemental and status bonuses depending on quality and type. Seems that changing your gem system around to match the enemies and bosses you are facing at the moment is important. The elemental wheel appears to be the key to getting through things without being beat up too badly. Combat is an ATB system, with the ability to actively slow down the ATB bar of your opponent during battle.

Gamersgate is doing a Spring sale, most of which is kind of meh. They are doing twelve hour flash sales though, and there are some decent deals there. The highlight of the current flash sale is ME3 for 4.99 or the digital deluxe version for 7.49. You can also get the ME trilogy for 7.49. The sale updates in about an hour though, so you'll have to be quick if you want it. Even though I watched the ending of ME3 on youtube after that whole nerdrage thing that happened over the end sucking, I still think I'll pick it up, I have the other two games, so I might as well get the last one.

Dead Island Riptide: Complete is $5 at GamersGate if you liked the first DI and want more of it.

GamersGate's flash sales are baffling. 40% off AC4: Black Flag and 25% off Liberation? Smiley: dubious

I remember playing Blackthorne on one of the display PCs at CompUSA. That's all.

Humble store is having a spring sale, looks like they have southpark stick of truth game and shadowrun on sale in addition to some other stuff I wasn't interested in at all and thus did not note.

Kotaku says:
Quote:
Humble has launched their Spring Sale, which runs for two weeks, has flash sales, and offers a whole lot of deep discounts. "Today, customers can save 33% off South Park: The Stick of Truth, 75% off The Walking Dead, 67% off Shadowrun Returns, 90% off Trine and more.

lol Trine.

If you're planning on getting Outlast then get it from the Humble Sale ($5) instead of Steam ($7), you'll save $2.

Edit: It's also DRM Free.

The past few days I was curious why I hadn't been getting group updates on Steam from Who's Gaming Now asking for Greenlight votes in exchange for free Steam games.

Turns out, the WGN Steam group got shutdown for violating the ToS.

Bummer. I guess they still have a website and a thread on the forums somewhere.

Yeah, he never got an answer on what rule he broke, just "no, you'll never get your group back, stop writing us". Probably about running contests or something. I got an email to sign up for the website updates so that's about as good as it gets.

I got Sweezy Gunner yesterday as well so I assume so. Worst case scenario, I don't get free games.

Did it not have something to do with the whole buying Greenlight votes thing?

I don't know if that's specifically forbidden. But since Valve refuses to discuss why it was banned, who know.

Some screenshots I read shows three people engaging in furry-anime-themed roleplay chat that ended poorly and with someone who was apparently a Steam Dev (or part of one, that got the Badge) complaining that WGN moderators were blackmailing him/her for keys, and was banned from the group for refusing.

Drama ensued, possibly reports, who knows.

Or maybe Steam just doesn't like it's games being given away for free publicly, didn't they also shut down the deal advertising groups?

They're not Steam's games, they're the developer's games being sold on Steam.

Steam briefly shut down the Cheap *** Gamer group but then brought it back.

I just got my Swipecart key from the Who's Gaming Now group so if you had requests in they should still be getting honored.

The group owner got a minor response back from Valve saying that the group was killed due to "numerous customer complaints". I'm guessing either people ******** about how unfair it was to trade Greenlight votes for keys or people ******** that they didn't get their free keys the second a game got approved. Or both. Either way, I suppose Valve just said "Eh, too much effort" and killed the source.
