About the Real World value of Turbine PointsFollow

In the wiki we have a template for displaying coin and TP. For TP we display the USD value of the TP in parentheses.

About the real-world value of Turbine Points: When not on-sale (bonus TP), TP packages range from 400TP/$6.50 to 3100TP/$49.99 yielding a range for per-TP value from $.0163/TP to $.0161/TP. We have chosen to use $.0162/TP (based on 1820TP for $29.50). Of course, when Turbine holds a sale (adds bonus TP) the price per TP will be considerably less.

Question: How do y'all feel about that valuation? Should we be using the big package value instead? It would not make a BIG difference, but for large items like horses and such it would be noticeable.

They have the "sale" on often enough that makes the $49.99 package roughly 5,000 TP that I just consider it a penny a point. A couple times they have made that particular package 6,200 points.

At this point I don't think anyone that has followed the store for over a month would buy many TP until they have the sales on that increase the base given by the package by about half.

How about a man-hours conversion? :D

OK, thinking about it I decided to change it to $49.99/5000 (.0100 per point) for now. If they stop doing the "bonus" TP I will change it to reflect the best price you can get.

I need to find a store with the Points cards and see if the deal is even better...
