PS3 Move + Sports + The Fight: Lights OutFollow

#1 Nov 28 2010 at 11:19 PM Rating: Excellent
So I picked up the PS3 "Move" accessories this weekend as an early Christmas present, to me. Got the Sports Champs game and The Fight: Lights out.

Now gentle reader I was once in good shape I swear. I did martial arts, hiked and climbed mountains. Cube life and an adult career have taken their toll on me now however I am afraid.

Anyway just chiming in to say this game is kicken my ***** It's a blast. Also it makes me sweaty and makes my arms hurt. The Sports champs games are pretty cool too so far. Their is a gladiator game where one hand is your sheild (you can bash) and the other hand is your sword.

It dawns on me that if their was a motion controlled MMO with a set up like that I would be an olympic athlete by now.

*edited to say reviews are not that great for The Fight game but even though it is frustrating at times it does fool me into working out. Hopefully future games in this genre will get even better. I have a Wii but its been collecting dust for a year becuase the graphics made my eyes bleed. So far I am impressed with "Move" although the precision is tighter on the sports game than the fight game.

I rather enjoy the Archery and Gladiator Combat games on the Sports title. I'm also enjoying its functionality with Time Crisis(and Deadstorm Pirates, which comes with TC). I still need to try it out with MAG.

I held off on the gun accessory after doing a rough price out of all I already bought. I used to love shooter games like Time Crisis in the arcade though so I will probably pick it up at some point.

The Frisbee golf has me hooked the most at this point on the sports title. I got my first hole in one last night on a par 3. It just floated down there so smooth and sweet.

I was never a huge fan of Time Crisis. I really really enjoyed Point Blank though. That game was so much fun.

Glad I'm not the only one! I was also pretty fit not that many years ago, I didnt realise just how out of shape I had become until picking up Sports Champions.

That Gladiator game is embarrasing lol! I was ok during the early stages, but now working through the final cup stages, I'm lucky to win 2 in a row before I'm forced to rest! Heck normally when you struggle on a game, it gets a little easier each attempt as you get better, on Gladiator I find I get worse with each subsequent match as you get more and more tired.

If anything its embarrased me enough to take up running again.

This and Tiger Woods Golf.

For the record, the current Move support for Tiger Woods was last minute and not implemented very well. Here's hoping that next year's will be better.
