Gimme The Deets Follow

Ok I'm confused,

I get so far that this is going to be an action MMO, not a "press 1-9 to activate abilities" game but I have some questions.

1. release date?

2. How many people have played it and when will I be able to apply for beta testing?

3. The graphics look amazing, will I have to have a crazy intense pc to play it?

4. Politics? Heard something about in-game politics where a player can become the like "King" of a server? What is that all about?

ok I think that is all I wanted to ask =]

1. No release date, slated for sometime 2011 but could be flexible.

2. Not sure how many people have played it but it hasn't reached a beta stage so I would say markedly few. You can sign up for future focus group testing at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/YKRJX7N.

3. Unsure of system specs at this time.

4. Not a whole lot of information has been released on the political systems and I doubt much of that is set in stone but you can check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6v2V3HVYis&feature=player_embedded#! that video for what has been released. That was from Germany's gamescon.

It looks like Spring 2011 currently. However there has been no official announcement.

Korea will be entering Open Beta within the next month or two.

I do not have a number of how many people have played it. However, application to testing is available now as stated by Miric.

You can also enter contests to win beta invites. http://www.tera-online.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11509 Is the current contest.

*The Political System is in-game, server invasions to come.

After CBT3, TERA's development team first tried to make group play fun and interesting. Blue Hole's CEO said "Many players love to come together and compete. We don't want players to just enjoy the content we made for them, but to enjoy some of the situations made by the players themselves."

Trading, crafting and combat will help fuel player driven content. In order to keep the game's community strong, guild housing, crafting housing and personal housing are all closely related to in-game guilds.

The Political system has also been added to the game. TERA's political system will include influential leaders who can actually change the game world. Leaders can change the placement of NPCs and even decide if PK will be allowed or not. With the political and guild systems there will be constant rivalries.

The theme of today's trailer was Politics. When will the Political System be seen in TERA?

Captain: The political system will be added in the OBT. The political system is actually end game content so it won't really be active until the game's launch. We will time the event when there are a fair number of high level players around and have a first election of an Exarch. After that, PK rules and other systems will be shown one by one through the reign of the first Exarch.

The Political System

The political system is designed from the ground-up to be a fun, community experience:
- Provinces have leaders called Vanarchs
- Vanarchs can run for the office of Exarch
- Political power includes adjusting tax rates, instituting in-game rules, and more
- Politicians receive special privileges and equipment such as mounts (much like real life)

Vanarchs can be elected via vote or through PvP.
Exarchs are elected from the available Vanarchs.

There can be only three Exarchs - one for each of the main capitals.
