I'm sure it'll get busier when people realise it is here, and we have a better idea of a release date.
And busier still if the PS3 release of FFXIV fairs as poorly as the PC release, and/or if Star Wars bombs :P

The trailers + 50 minute gameplay video has me captivated ~ I can't wait for this to come out.
You guys should stick around for a bit - we've got some big announcements coming out next week along the lines of Guild Wars 2 stuff. Glad you found the forums already. :)

Well, that is fankly awesome. The first characters introduction sequence looks pretty epic, and the sequence from 43 mins on wasn't at all the sort of thing I'd have expected to see in an MMO. I can't think of a suitable word for "beyond epic"... I'll settle on "shiny".
Got one of my friends to watch the first 10 mins and the sequence from 43mins onwards, and he's now decided to give the game a try too :P

I have to admit, from what I picked up off the official site, I thought there were be less quest "text" and way more talk-talking. I had a vision, I think, of simply listening for audio clues to the Next Event instead of having the text pop-ups (as well). I had the same reaction as well to the actual NPC interaction. I didn't envision the dueling-banjo conversation with text appearing in the middle between the two avatars ... if that made sense.
Was anyone else surprised to see that?

@jadyness: Not really. People like to read things once in a while, and It helps people keep up with the conversations between NPCs and players. Not to mention that there are deaf people that play games, so having the text would help them stay in the loop. :)
