I saw that Level-5 and Capcom are doing a cross-over between Professor Layton and Attorney Wright on the 3DS. I really like both series and it will be interesting to see how they combine both franchises. I'd think it will be a challenge to bring this crossover to life. I hope it is good.
That being said, what's your favorite franchise crossover? What's the worst?
This might date me and make me the laughing stock but I always loved the Battletoads/Double Dragon game.

FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus was my least favorite.

I guess Kingdom Hearts counts although I think of them as Disney games not as Final Fantasy games. They are really good though.
Favorite one is M.U.G.E.N., least favorite is those Nicktoon games.

Smash Bros. is easily my favorite. I'm a fairly big sucker for crossovers of anything into anything else though.
On the Smash Brothers note I want Simon Belmont in the next game.
I liked Mario Kart better than Smash Bros. I played Mario Kart on the Gamecube until I unlocked 100% of everything.

Yeah but Mario Kart isn't really much of a cross over since they are all Mario character (DK is one even though he has his own series).
Smash Bros would be mine also along with Capcom vs SNK 2. Still disappointed Marvel vs Capcom got a sequel before it.

Favorite crossover game will very likely be this one. Major fan of the Ace Attorney games, and I'm very fond of the Layton games too. Other than that, I'm looking forward to the new Marvel vs. Capcom too.

And as for worst crossover... Sonic in Smash Bros. Brawl. Atleast Snake had cartoony moves. Sonic was still fast, and lame, just felt like he didn't fit in. That said, the entire concept of Sonic is boring and repetitive.

You say that, but I find Sonic incredibly fun and somewhat chaotic to play due to his speed. It's fun running around a map, even a small one, getting pot shots in as you zoom by someone.
