F2P compared to old paidFollow

Around two to three years ago, I dabbled in LOTRO to keep myself sane while living with relatives due to injuries and other stuff. Only got a Captain to around 20ish as my highest character.
I was a paying subscriber, not just on the free trial, and enjoyed the mellow pace and crisp graphics on my old laptop (now I could crank the graphics up further!).
What would I experience different than when I paid for the game so long ago? I read the synopsis of F2P on the Turdbine website, but I'm still a bit confused.
Let's put it simply: If I were in a coma or stasis after logging off the last time I did until now, with F2P, and the FIRST thing I did when I came to was log on LOTRO, what shocks would I have in store?

Not a whole lot has actually changed. If your F2P you'll have to pay to unlock zones as you progress now, you'll get up to level 22ish just fine, but from Lore Lands/North Downs on through you'll have to pay TP (Turbine Points) to unlock the quests for the zone. But you can actually earn TP in game without paying a dime if you grind the deeds in every zone. Only other major change is the revamp of the levels 1-30 zones, all the starting zones were revamped, Bree area, and Lore Lands were completely redone the past year or so, and IMO, for the better. Zones flow much better now, and Lore Lands was turned into a much more solo friendly zone.
