Here's my impression: It's a little worrying that this is now an issue. A wonderfully balanced game would be good at the start, but balance can only be achieved through really in-depth statistical tracking from skilled players. For example, a fighting game character could look bad or amazing when a the game comes out. There might be a character that start winning all the beginning tourneys. Would you say that character is unbalanced, or just a scrub killer (a character with tools that can easily overpower new or bad players)? It would be sad if TERA was changed so that only certain races can play certain classes. This is a limitation that will only make the game more like World of Warcraft and decrease possible game depth. Since TERA is a next-generation MMO, I'd rather not see that happen.

It would be nice to hear about experienced players that have dealt with all kinds of game balance discuss this issue. This isn't really an issue for the casual player, and as we all should know by now, TERA is not supposed to be a normal MMO game for casual players. Will TERA end up like the rest of the MMOs out there at this rate?
