I am just coming back to the game after a 6 year layoff (I was playing WoW and recently quit). I wanted to get peoples input on a good 2 man group combo. I will be playing with my 10yr old son and he will probably want to dps while I heal. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well a necro paired with just about anything would be a good combo for their damage and pacts, if the other were tanking as a bard or ranger with their heals it should be a fast killing group but a normal tank would obviously work too.
A ranger with CM heal and a bard would be a nice group since their heals stack with each other.

I'd argue Bard as a staple, heals/pot/buffs/tankability all in one is greeeeeeat. I had great success with a bard/rogue combo. Bard built to tank, rogue built to drop things in a heart beat. Bard ranger does sound good though.
