Which class to compliment Hunter in DuoFollow

My son has just started as a hunter/elf for a week and has asked me to join up and play with him. What class(es) would compliment his character if we are venturing out primarily as a duo?

Thanks.

LOTRO doesn't really adhere to the Holy Trinity model so most anything will compliment a hunter well.

Hunter/hunter - kills most anything very fast - root the mob in place and kill it from a distance
Hunter/Rune-keeper - dps on top of dps for another turn & burn combination
Hunter/lore master - use the LM's pet to tank and you both nuke away!
Hunter/champion - let the champ tank and the hunter pin cushions the mob from a distance

all work well... bottom line here is that you don't really NEED a healer or a tank to survive in a duo so it really all comes down to your style of play and what you want to do...

Hunter/Minstrel is fine too. Minstrel can get their WS (War Speech) on and heal when necessary.

I'd vote for Hunter/Guardian too. Guardian has enough self-heal tricks that this could be a fast combo, especially with the hunter burning foes down.

I will say though, on beta, Drulian and I leveled hunter/hunter together. It was a riot! Stuff died very quickly. Every once in a while one of us would bite the dust, but not often, and never both of us in the same fight. Didn't use DF much but we were both Hobbits, so FD was employed :).

Having good gear always helps. We both helped ourselves immensely by leveling up our own crafting (Dru:woodworking for bows, Dot:jewelry, food) with those toons. I had 3 65s brought over for weapons, tailoring, & scholar that kept us in decent armor, hand weapons and pots on the climb up in levels.
