Of course, almost everybody on these forums plays World of Warcraft to a certain degree, wether it be hardcore or casual. But, other then WoW, what video games do you play? And do you recommend these games to other people?

I'll start off with a few games that I'm currently playing.

Runes of Magic
A free MMORPG that is somewhat similar to WoW in play style, but still contains a few different features which make the game interesting, such as the ability to play two classes at the same time ("dual-classing?"), the ability to buy a house and decorate it with furniture, and so on. I myself am currently leveling a Warrior/Rogue character, dubbed by the players as a Berserker. The game is pretty good so far, but unfortunately the game contains a few targeting bugs in closed areas, and you have to either rent a mount each few hours or buy one with real money. Still, it's a good way to spend time until Cataclysm.

Final Fantasy V
A classic Snes game, remade for the Gameboy Advance (Though I'm using an Emulator to play it). People who are familiar with the Final Fantasy series should definitely give this game a try. Not only are you able to collect a wide number of jobs, but you are also able to mix two jobs together, which often makes a very lethal combination. You could have a Black Mage which doubles as a Time Mage, a White Mage with Summon spells, etc. Other then that, this game has a pretty good storyline, interesting characters and villains, and it contains (in my opinion) the best mayor character death scene of Final Fantasy!
I double dare you to top that, Aeris...

Team Fortress 2
If you haven't heard about this game before, then you've surely seen its spin-offs on Youtube. Team Fortress 2 is a class-based online shooter, which features a wide range of maps and numerous different play styles for you to play with. You could choose play a round of Capture the Flag, Capture Point, Payload, or maybe a good old Arena battle. And, now that all the class updates have arrives, it's a safe bet to say that the classes are all equally balanced. So bring it on with your Heavies and Spies and whatnot, you ain't getting past my newly upgraded Engineer easily...\\\

So, what do you play?

Not true, actually. Allakhazam is home to forums for a number of MMOs, and then there's people here who used to play games but don't anymore, and just stay for the forums.

I play TF2 a lot, though not quite so much since the engineer update. I got tired of going around corners and getting demolished by a wrangled sentry in a single rocket burst. I'm still waiting for them to nerf it a bit, because several engineers and a pyro can hold down a location for a very long time.

I play WoW.
And a bunch of DS games. Atm I'm playing the Might And Magic DS game.

Waiting to see how this new Might and Magic MMO is, may play it.
Edit: ^ this game is out, just haven't gotten around to trying it.

I'm on the 5th boss and it was hair pulling to get that far. I'm only like level 23.

Team Fortress 2 and League of Legends (previously Heroes of Newerth, previously previously Defense of the Ancients) compromise my gaming pretty much entirely. Other than that I look for miscellaneous lone wolf and experimental games. Most of the mainstream games have declined in appeal to me.

Which boss you talking about? You can skip around the different worlds killing bosses after taking down Phalanx. This is actually a good idea to do because world four stage (two?) is an excellent place to grind up some levels. And the giant clown thing in the first level isn't too hard to take down if you're a caster, an archer or two handing a large shield(you can get an excellent one if you make the world light and get past the executioner lady, who drops some excellent armor for a female character).

Also, that level with the bridge is a lot easier if you kill the dragon before going after the boss, though that can get a bit tedious if you're not specced for spells or archery.

Edit for an on topic answer:
I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2 and have the following games partially completed on the backburner:
Universe at War: Earth Assault
Final Fantasy XIII
Scribblenauts
Patapon 2
MAG
Borderlands
Heavenly Sword(my roommate loaned it out to his coworker, so I can't play more until he gets it back)
Demon's Souls(On my fourth playthrough with my first character and taking a break)

There seems to be a lot of stuff not explained in that game. For instance, Im still not clear on the significance of tendencies. Then Kaelesh says something about being level 23. There are levels? I thought you just bought stuff with souls. Then he said he killed in order, but once i beat the knight boss I couldnt go further because I had to beat an archdemon or something, so I had to go to the next stone. :S

Black Tendencies make the enemies tougher (with more reward) and White Tendencies make enemies easier (with less reward). Tendencies are determined by your kill ratio I believe. Your deaths Vs. mob deaths. And naturally, at the developers whim.

Yea, you do buy stuff with souls but you can level up as well. The further your apply souls to your character's stats, it determines your level.

Yea, I kill bosses in order of the stones. I did 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 so on and so forth.

I ****** that up.

When you die in flesh form, your world turns black. When you kill a boss, black phantoms or primordial demons, the world goes white. There are, iirc, 7 levels of white and black. Special things happen in white. In the first level of the first world, for instance, at full white, you can get into an area near the start and fight the executioner. She drops spiffy armor in that tendency, and past her is a set of the heaviest armor in the game. Additionally, the dragons will not be on the cliff when you head that way, allowing you to collect treasure, including one of the best shields for protection against fire.

Nifty tip: If you want to keep world tendency white after killing a boss, die in the nexus before going back to the world, and do the world in soul form. Any deaths like this will not change world tendency. Additionally, you cannot be invaded when in soul form(assuming they haven't changed anything in the last couple months).

He just takes forever. I'd recommend getting yourself the ability to use a decent bow ASAP and killing him before you take on the last boss of the world, as you can kill him and the blue dragon for a good number of souls. The white bow requires 30 str/24 dex, iirc and isn't hard to get.

Quote:
In 4-2 you can obtain the White Bow by entering the map and killing the first Reaper, then dropping down and entering the stairway to the left (the staircase with the trap at the very top). Halfway up there will be a hidden doorway enclosed in the wall, continue through here and there will be a Dual Katana Black Skeleton. To the left of him will be a pathway around the mountain that leads to a drop near the start of the map. After the first drop there will be a body with a White Bow and White Arrows. Drop down again and you will be at the start of the map.

Some bosses and enemies are MUCH easier going ranged mode. And we won't even talk about that stupid pair of gargoyles and the horrible cheating you can do there.

So are you saying you go: 1-1,2-1,3-1,4-1,5-1, etc? Or you saying you go 1-1,1-2,2-1,2-2,2-3,2-4,1-3,1-4,3-1, etc?

i'm about 80% done with the witcher. i have fo3, mass effect, bioshock, and a couple more on the back burner but i'm pretty sure when i finish it i'm gonna turn around and play it again, going against the non-humans this time instead of supporting them.

combat is pretty neat. you get 4 weapon slots (silver sword, steel sword, 2h, 1h) and 3 fighting stances and finding the right combo takes down opponents prolly 5x faster. supposably all the 1h and 2h weapons have finishing moves, so when you're going against easy enemies you can stun them and try them all out.

the story is pretty awesome, although some of the cutscenes can be a little hard to follow, even after the game was re-translated from polish. it kinda gives me a little hope as far as that schilling/salvatore/mcfarlane project is concerned... having one pro handle the backstory as opposed to a team of writers.

You either have no idea that this site covers more than WoW or are a complete idiot. No, not everybody, or even close to everybody plays that abomination. I find your assumption that everyone has such terrible taste in games as you personally offensive.

A couple of weeks ago I bought Assassin's Creed 2 and spent three days locked up in my room while completing it. Very nice game, except for the DRM thing, but it was manageable.

Then I bought Dawn of War 2, because I'd forgotten I'd already played it (apparently), but luckily I hadn't played the Chaos Rising expansion, so it was all good (if a little short).

Friday I got hold of StarCraft 2, came home at 10pm, forgot to go to bed and finished the last mission at 11am yesterday.

I need to cut back on my all-out sessions.
