So, have no idea if this is awesome or fail...but capcom is really doing this. Apparently, megaman will even be able to gain the powers of other Capcom characters, like Ryu and the guy from Ghouls and Ghosts...

You mean the power to take a single hit and then run around in his boxers until he dies?

The power to point his finger and yell OBJECTION! would be awesome.

Overall, I'm a huuuuuuuge Megaman fan, but I kind of like the older ones less because of the sluggish gameplay (compared to the X series, and Zero/ZX to further extent.) I'm very curious, but I have absolutely no idea what to expect from this, especially after this somewhat silly trailer.

When you get hit, your clothes disintegrate leaving only your underwear behind?

I don't know why I always feel so compelled to read the comments after most blog posts, they only serve to remind me why I have no faith in humanity anymore. Those comments are chock full of weaboo goodness if you care to peruse them.

Gotta love game trailers that don't show you anything about the game.

Is this the triumphant return of Top Man, or the legendary Hard Man? One can only dream of the possibilities.

How many Mega Man sprite comics have you read? I'm going to need this information before I can make a proper assessment on how much of an authority you are on the subject. Smiley: smile

So, as a result of this topic, I decided to play Megaman 2 again. I can't for the life of me remember the boss order. I just started with Flash Man, then Crash Man, then did Metal Man and used his weapon on Wood Man. After that I tried Air Man's stage, got frustrated and /ragequit.

I still can't believe I can beat Megaman X1 through X5 in about an afternoon, but simply fail miserably at the old school games...

MegaMan 2. Metal Man, Wood Man, Air Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Quick Man, Bubble Man, Heat MAn.

What amazes me is people can blow through those Mega Man X games but talk about the originals being too hard. I am good at the originals but I never could beat a single Mega Man X game they were just stupidly hard. The only of the originals that is a pain in the *** for me is Final Boss in MEga MAn 7, I think I may have broken a controller over that one.

IF you want to count them as orignals Mega Man 9 is stupid hard. It just forces you to memorize what every trash spawn is going to do. Constantly something throwing you into thorns or some garbage like that, I really hated that game. I didn't even bother with Mega Man 10.

Something that I will swear to though is Wireless controllers have a minor amount of lag to them. The controls of playing Mega Man 2 on my NES seem so much more responsive then trying to play it on the Wii (even with a Virtual Controller). I noticed the same thing on Kid Icarus. I recently bought it for my NES. Without any trouble went through 3 stages. When I played it on Wii I can't get past the first stage without falling or something stupid.

Metal Man, Flash Man, Air Man, Crash Man, Quick Man, Bubble Man, Heat Man, Wood Man

Metal Man is weak to the Mega Buster and Flash Man is weak to Metal Blade. You'll need Time Stopper for Quick Man's laser grid unless you memorized the path, and you can one-shot Quick Man with a Crash Bomb if you place it at the wall he is running into. Quick Boomerang is Bubble Man's weakness, and you can one-shot Wood Man with a full charged Atomic Fire as soon as you jump over the first thrown leaf shield. Don't bother using anything but the Mega Buster on Air Man since the Tornadoes block all weapons, and Crash Man dies from 2-3 shots of the Air Shooter.

Not sure if this is actually the same game, but - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnunSRIyqWs&feature=player_embedded#

Still no hint at actual gameplay, but does look kind of epic.
