Please Help, unable to register for 10 day trial! :: World of Warcraft

My buddy plays LotRO and I told him that due to all the SWTOR excitement I've been experiencing, I was getting an MMO itch again. He swears LotRO is one of the best MMOs he ever tried, so he and I were going to game this weekend. I clicked the link to download the free trial and every attempt to register (tried several times on both my PC, lap top and phone, using IE 8 and firefox) I get an error message:

Your submission contained an error. Please try again. Code: #FTxYLWN5YNV

I've done it at LEAST 30 times tonight, I am fairly certain I am not missing anything. I would have asked on their offical forums, but for some reason, you need an account to disuss account issues. :mad:

Any suggestions/help? :)

I am not sure what link you are using to download the client. If you are on the Siege of Mirkwood page and using the link there, that is not the old 10-day trial page. That is the BETA client for the new system and you must have a BETA key to use it.

There are no more free trials. You have to wait until the F2P launch on Sept 10th 2010. I was as confused as you. Right now only current players, former players, and beta testers can get on the F2P early. I can't imagine how many will log in on the 10th. I may just wait a week. I am sure the servers will be over-loaded and crash.

No need to register for a 10-day free trial, the game goes free to play starting September 10th. I believe they're also doing maintenance on their site so you may not be able to access account info. Once it launches on the 10th, I'm sure you'll be able to set everything up.
