One of me lowbie alts was kicked out of his guild becuz..... now get this....

Becuz he didnt show up for a guild meeting which, was in reality a online EQOA WEDDING!

Yes, a wedding! Between two TOONS. A cleric married them. hehe.
They type out thier vows. Said thier I do's.

Now, I had a bad night getting a good group. I finaly got one. We finaly get to our destination to hunt. We are XPing. Then, the guilies start asking me if I am going to attend this wedding.
I said no, I thought it was a waste of my time. A raid is one thing, but a wedding... c'mon.

A little while later... I was out on the streets and guildless. Hehe.

If I ever sink to the point where I'm so involved in EQ that I consider fake marrying a pile of pixels with knockers, I'm going to: 1) climb the tallest mountain I can find. 2) Throw my playstation off of it. 3) Jump. 4) Shoot myself in the head while I'm falling to my doom.

P.S. If i do this, will any clerics out there Rez me?

Ok thats just plain sad, first of all its a wedding in a game.....lol. I mean the game is fun but i dont think you would have to go that far would you, but even if you did, kicking someone out of a guild just becuase they didnt show up for your wedding is lame. I know on EQPC that you could have weddings like this and it was actually programmed into the game. Lol but you could do anything on that game from getting drunk(which that was what was sooo fun about the weddings but i thought was a waste of time) to getting married.

Oh my. I've seen some silly stuff in my EQOA days, but I truly think this tops em all so far. Getting kicked out of a guild for not attending the wedding? roflmfao! classic... You better make it to the bris, cant imagine what would happen if ya missed that!

how can they get married? we dont have the kiss command, hug,or other marrage stuff. My guess is when they try to kiss they will ignore each other and get very close to make it look like they kiss:p

Ok, I can see by the way some of you talk about this game, thats all you see it as, a game. But did you ever consider that some people actually role play out thier characters? I mean, this is a role playing game, and if two characters wanted to role play out a wedding, sure go ahead, fine with me. WHy? Because they are trying to get every enjoyment out of the game they can.

But making it mandatory is just plain stupid.

I agree Haggan, and I even do it meself, example, when I play me Trolls or Barbarians I try to talk as they.... Me wantem fight big pig.... heck, it evens carries over to the forums, you prolly hav noticed!!! :) But, they kick em out of that guild... it wasn't the greatest guild, but I did like it. And all the trouble that was stired up over it... man. I mean, the aftermath was just alful, I lost 3 friends over it! Oh well.

(btw, as a role playing goes SOE seems to have watered that part of the game idea down.)

Yes I know they watered it down for EQOA, but its still there, and those that do not role play thier character need to learn to respect those that do.

If it wasn't for the role players of this world, this game wouldn't be around.
