HELP - Password Recovery SystemFollow

#1 Jan 24 2004 at 9:13 AM Rating: Decent
I have sent a password recovery to station.com and I have yet to receive the e-mail containing the reset password. I sent another and still nothing. So does anyone know how long it actually takes them to send the e-mail... as I am starting to worry and think I have lost my character for good.

Im wondering the same thing...I was able to log on last night. and today i went to log on and it said i had an invalid username and or password...tried loggging in several times, and i eventually just sent the password reset to sony twice. Still no answer and that was about 30 mins ago...

Thats exactly what happened to me, but I could log back on after the servers went down today... Perhaps customer support is only mon-fri ? Has anyone else experienced this or has any past experience with the password recovery system?

Yeah it is dragging on abit now I also sent an e-mail to the one provided when you want to send an e-mail about customer support. It ha sbeen atleast 5 hours... I would have thought better of SOE customer support, them being experienced in online gaming.

Well i kind of figured that the password reset would be automated like any other web site. Guess I was wrong. I may just end up calling SOE and see what the hell their problem is, as Im starting to get a little pi$$ed...

I'm having the same problem too. I searched the knowledge base and the best I could find is if you're using a Yahoo account, check the junk mail folder... not all that helpful to me, and I'm doubting it will it will be for you either, but who knows.

This is really pissing me off almost a day now and no reply... looks like I will have to phone soe on Monday. Anyone else had any luck yet concerning their passwords?

The reply you got, as unhelpful as it is, is more then I've gotten as of right now.

I havent gotten a reply either, so it looks like I will probably end up calling the bastards on Monday as well. Almost 2 days now have gone by and I cant get in. Funny how they send you the link to go into live chat when u CANT EVEN LOG IN!!! These kinds of things can really turn a person from playing these kind of games...

Are your accounts older accounts that haven't been used for a while? Mine is, so I figured I'd just start over and create a new account.

I created the new account and just to test I reset the password and got the e-mail confirmation almost instantly. So I figured, ok, I'll just scrap the old account (the one that I can't reset the password on) and start with this new one. I loaded SWG and was subscribing with the new account, but it won't let me because that cd-key is already in use. So apparently, everything about my original account is still stored, but something is stopping it from sending the e-mail with the reset password...

And yes, it is kind of stupid to have a link to get help on password recovery when you have to log in to get it.

Anyways, let me know how it works out for you and I'll do the same.

Hmm Im beginning to think that this was some kind of server error on their part where they lost some accounts, So I reccomend calling SOE on Monday as soon as possible. Lets just hope if they did lose them, they will be able to recover them, as I had much invested in my characters.

on a whim I put 'one last' password request in tonight, and got the password sent to my e-mail inbox. It let me log in and is currently updating, so it appears to be fixed.

I called SOE today, and after being on hold after about an hour I finally was able to talk to a techie. After messing around with the request password option, i was given a new password and i can now log into Galaxies. So just call SOE as soon as you can and you should be able to log back in.
