I'd recommend it. Got it for "free" with PS+ on my PS4. It's pretty fun, with a neat mechanic. Definitely worth a $5-10 price tag.

I was bummed when I didn't find out soon enough that it was on sale for 80% (75%+20%) off on GMG. They ran out fast.

I have Contrast and liked it but don't know if I can recommend it. It's short and there's not a ton to it. But it was also a fun trip and I liked the setting.

It's one of those things were I liked it but I don't know if what I liked out of it would be shared by the next guy.

Just a heads up, newly released game Grimm is currently available for $10, which includes 23 individual story DLCs which cost around $25 separately. I haven't played it yet, but the video makes it seem that it plays like Psychonauts.

Any regulars around here play APB Reloaded? I got some sort of code for it, not even sure what it is.

Heh... I did a lousy interview with them a few years ago Smiley: lol I also played some of the Beta... it was basically "Cops and Robbers Online," where you chose a side and teamed up with some other people to do missions (which were simultaneously given opposing goals on the other side; ie, one side robs a bank, the other stops the robbers). Most of it defaulted to killing the other team and you win. I was a poor shot, and died often Smiley: grin The open world had a lot of potential, but I didn't enjoy it one bit.

Edit: Makes me nostalgic for when I used to write for ZAM Smiley: blush

Brothers is currently being Steam price-matched on Amazon and is part of the Editor's Choice event so it's $2.49 if you have an EC voucher.

The APB code was from some indie bundle recently and gives you some little in-game bonuses and 15 (14?) days of premium membership. Something like that anyway; I remember thinking it was sorta cheap that it was less than a month.

Gamefly is having an end of the holiday season sale. A few noteworthy things (all assume use of GFDJAN20 code):

Bioshock Infinite - $8
Batman: Arkham Origins - $16
Metro: Last Light Season Pass - $3
XCOM: Enemy Within - $12
Dead Island: Riptide - $6

Humble Bundle X is out. This one has:
To the Moon
Joe Danger 2: The Movie
Papo & Yo
Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien

Pay more than the average games:
Reus
Surgeon Simulator 2013

Like all the other bundles, in a week or so there is bound to be another couple games added. Current average price is $5.73.

That bundle was shenanigans. They had a "special tier" for the first 1,000 people to pay $10 or more. It was some game I don't even remember (or care about) but the effect was to immediately jack up the average well over the norm. Especially since several thousand people all paid $10+ in hopes of being one of the first 1,000.

I'm gonna wait on it for a bit to see how low the average sinks back down or else just pay the buck for the bottom tier.

I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE WAITED ON REUS.

It was prime bundle fodder and I knew it.

Particularly because the game isn't really good enough to warrant paying. I think I could forgive it as something for mobile platforms, but I expect more.

yeah agreed, if it didn't suck so much I wouldn't have minded (example - rogue legacy is fun enough that if it shows up in a bundle I won't feel butthurt) - it's just not very exceptional. I think I paid like 5 bucks for it... really it isn't worth more than 2.

I bought it during the Summer Sale when it was a flash sale. I thought it looked interesting - solid art and concept. But then the implementation was just so... empty.

I wasn't sure if I just sucked at playing it or if the combinations were just too hard to create, I was never able to progress very far.

It's a ton of micromanagement for VERY little reward. I mean, the game has essentially no progression besides achievements, the actual play doesn't change up all that much, and the games are too short to be really interesting, but too long to be something you could have a quick bit of fun with.

yeah, I thought it looked really cool - the art was awesome... and then, I was like...

WAIT.... wait!

Where is the game part of this? and got bored.

For Android users, Jelly Splash is free on Amazon and you get 110 Amazon Coins for "buying" it. It's always free, mind you, I mention it for the $1.10 in app credit.

Plus buying it via the website means it goes into my library and doesn't try to install itself on my tablet/phone like buying it through the Amazon App Store.

Steam is having a free weekend for Saints Row IV, which is easily completable within a day.

GetGamesGo is selling Metal Gear Rising for $24, $5 less than the norm.

I think you can still use a 25% coupon on GMG for MGR which would be cheaper than at GGG.
