Wow yeah, I guess I should have waited longer for a game that I'll take months to play... Oh well, I ran it today just to see howplayable it was and its F*ing beautiful! And there is a lot of swearing wow.

Part of the Steam sale is Edna and Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes is on sale for 80% off. $3.99

I really enjoyed the Deponia series by the same company (point and click adventures) enough so that I paid nearly full price (release day promotional discount) for the third installment. So I picked up this one. I'm sure it will give me 4 dollars worth of entertainment.

Yeah but it's the 2nd game in the series IIRC, I played and beat it then realized 2 of the characters were from the first game, which is overpriced at like 13 or something. nevermind I just realized they made the 2nd game first then the prequel this year that was just released.

I've played a bit of the Edna and Harvey games, and they are not as good as the Deponia ones so far. Deponia has a very smooth interface, E&H is a bit rough around the edges. Deponia also has some better voice acting.

I'm still going to give E&H a chance. I'm sure it will be worth the 4 dollars.

What happened to Humble Bundle? I bought the weekly, and it doesn't give keys for it, instead it asks you to link your Steam Account and redeems directly to your account. No longer have spare Keys for games you might already own...

Is it just for this weekly, or is it a new change? If it's a new, permanent system, that kind of sucks. Getting extra keys to trade/give was a nice bonus to buying these bundles that might have a couple things you already have.

Edit:
Quote:
*Please note this bundle requires you to redeem on your Steam account.

I guess that is what it means. Can't get keys, got to redeem directly to your Steam account only. At least it sounds like only this bundle. Team 17 must have put that restriction on them...

With the number of people that are likely using these bundles to turn a profit, it wouldn't surprise me to see all future bundles go this route.

I just bought the new WB Humble Bundle and it didn't require me to link it directly.
Oh, I see what you're saying! Yeah, that's odd. I see if has a little gift thingie there as well so maybe you can still gift it but you can't just hand out the keys?

Speaking of...

Humble WB Bundle
Lord of the Rings: War in the North
FEAR 2
FEAR 3
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY edition

Beat the average for:
Batman: Arkham City GOTY edition
Scribblenauts Unlimited

When I bought the average was still $4.26 but is ticking upwards so I'd consider getting in on it.

I clicked the gift link and it changed the "key" window to one saying "Give this link to your friend to redeem!" so you can still give away extra keys. I don't know if you can separate them that way, though.

My guess is that they are trying to make stuff giftable but inconvenient to just hand out keys en masse. So you might go through the effort to get a bundle for a friend but you wouldn't buy a bunch of $1 bundles to split up and hand out on forums and have to go through the emailed link thing for each recipient.

Daedalic Entertainment HB Weekly Deal

Includes Deponia, and a few other of their point and click adventure games. Of course I just bought a couple of those games during the Halloween sale on Steam, so I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet or not. I own three of them, may still buy it for the rest.

And a new Indie Gala deal is up.

GamersGate has AC3 for $11.97 this weekend and the Season Pass for about ten bucks. I'm not actually sure if that's the cheapest it's been but probably close to it if not.

Supposed leaked e-mail listing Steam Fall/Winter sale dates. Take it or leave it.

Most telling part is that stuff on sale for Fall/Thanksgiving won't be any cheaper for Winter/Christmas

Bundle Stars has a new big bundle. Ten games for 4 dollars. Including Hydrophobia and Blades of Time Limited Edition. Seems like a pretty good deal for just those two by themselves.

Though it's worth remembering that they combine this with flash sales. So they'll likely be awesome deals that pop up and last a short time.

The Bioshock bundle is a good deal aside from the fact that every man, woman, beast & child must own B1 & B2 by now.

I was interested in the SR4 deal for a few seconds and then decided it'll be $5 soon enough anyway.

It's still on sale until November 25th. I have it for the original Xbox but picked it up the other day because playing my monk on WoW got me missing it.
