It feels like a Monday. How about some tales to liven things up!

WOW: Things got busy enough that I didn't even manage to finish off my DMF run. It was a sacrifice that I can't really complain about.

RL: HuiHui snagged most of the weekend. Saturday, I went out on the quest for affordable dry cat food in a sane flavor in order to pacify the Demon Beast. On the way home, figuring that I still had time to run the parts of DMF I needed, she suggested we have drinks. Sunday, I figured that I'd catch up on the first week of the new semester and talk with an old colleague over lunch. I'd just gotten home and settled in at the computer with a cup of coffee when she invited me out for dinner. Guys, I need Lightheaded for Beijing. She forgets that I don't read Chinese, so finding the restaurant was an adventure. It was one of the all you can eat buffets, with free booze. I had to down a fist sized bottle of spirits as a penalty for getting lost. There are worse fates than having to drink strange booze and eat with a very pretty young lady, but knowing that the person picking the food is Cantonese can add an element of excitement. It is said of the Cantonese: "We eat everything on the ground with four legs except tables and chairs. We eat everything in the sky except airplanes."

HuiHui seems determined to be a feature of future tales. Let me state for the record that she is tall, athletic, throws a decent double punch out of ma bu and is more fun than a basket full of kittens.

Did not post any goals but anyway...

RL:

Went out with some friends on Friday to celebrate my birthday (which took place some time before that but wanted a night when many people could make it). Then visited my grandmother on Saturday because of her birthday. Also managed to hide the rather poor condition I was in. Sunday I had lunch with my mother and my uncle.

WoW:

Finally got my hands on the White Raptor. I really wanted to get him before 5.4 and I'm glad I did it. Also ran Mogu'shan, DS and Ulduar for the respective mounts but still no luck. At least got 5 fragments which is pretty lucky. Have 18 now so maybe I will get that legendary in a few IDs.
Tried to get the last Pristine Mantid Archaeology artifact that I'm missing to have all of those pesky Arch achievements done but no. Will try again today since the thingy still has some hours left in it.

Game - got my warior to 32 and my rogue to 28, leveled my cleric to 19 i believe and made a new toon and got them to level 5. I have way too many characters ... did the summer festivities and got my pig companion, and working on mounts now.

RL - friday was birthday celebrations for a 14 year old and mowing and sleep, had to work most of saturday and then just relaxed with video games and grocery shopping, business planning. Sunday was more mowing, dog to the groomer and family anime night.

Weekday plans - getting financing planned out for my business and start getting it going, game wise is continue the summer festivities and try to level some. I think family anime night will try to interfere most nights though.

I tried to understand this, but I failed. The gist seems to be that something good is happening in your life though, so kudos.

Gaming : Playing FFXIV. Figure I'll get some crafting in and level a new class some.

RL : Besides a trip to a book store with a friend, nothing planned. Have a concert ticket for tomorrow, but I don't really feel like paying the $50 it'll take me to get to Brooklyn, so I'll probably give it away.

Gaming: Got my Conjurer to level 30. My Arcanist is only level 8, though. Once I get that to 15, I'll be able to unlock White Mage. I'll also need to continue my story quest to get the ability to summon my Chocobo as a battle companion (not just a mount).

But overall, very productive weekend. Don't remember what I started it at, but I probably gained at least 5 levels.

RL: Did not go to the concert, but I DID go to the bookstore. And I'm okay with that turn of events.
