i am in the US, and i recently just activated a 10 day cata trial that ends tomorrow. I have not had a subscription since over a year, and would love the benefits of scroll of resurrection.
Am i eligible?
if not, cant i just wait a month to be eligible (i read that you have to be inactive before March 4, so shouldnt it change next month to April 4?)

You should be. I was gone for over a year, but every 3 months like clock work Blizz gave me a free week of play to try and get me back. I used every one of them to talk with guildies, and I was able to get scrolled

"To be eligible to receive a Scroll of Resurrection, your friend must have a full (non-Starter Edition) World of Warcraft account, and their account must have been inactive (without an active subscription) on or before March 4th, 2012."
Does my 10 day trial act as an active subscription?
Im guessing that in a month that "March 4th" will change to "April 4th" and i will be eligible, which may have happened to you.

A trial doesn't count as an active subscription, to the best of my knowledge. An active subscription is one where you're actively being billed for playing.
