Should i buy Corsair or Steelseries WOW Peripherals???Follow

They're kosher, but I'd rather spend the money on a few nice meals. Haven't found anything a basic keyboard/mouse can't handle.

so the catclisim stuff isn't really worth it. reason i like the corsair ones is the aluminum build and back lighting. i tend to go threw 3-4 cheep $20 keyboards and mice a year. so the durability of the aluminum would be nice. and i do a lot gaming at night or with 3d glasses so the back lit lazzer cut keys would be esyier to see. i cant really afforded a mouse and keyboard i want sadly. i thinking ill probably end up getting the X-Elerated Warcraft Guides complete set. they say they are a legal add in and since something like this will help me learn well i wont look like a fool with all my brothers high end characters i took over after he died.

You go through 3-4 of them a year? Do you eat them or encase your hands in concrete? I've had this Belkin for... well there isn't a date but this model stopped being made in 2009 so at least three years. My mice last at least a year or two for the cheap ones, and that's WITH a cat.

If you use a keyboard hard enough to break it that quickly, I'm worried that the only result of buying a more expensive keyboard will be breaking a more expensive keyboard.

Cut her some slack, you can tell from her posts that her keyboard is broken. The shift key doesn't work and she seems to be missing several letters.

And damn...that's a lot of keyboards & mice.
My recommendation? Roll a few characters of your own, learn the job basics. Then use whatever higher-level chars your brother had.

I would pick a server and start leveling characters on it. Learn the game as you go. Blizzard isn't going to just delete your brothers characters because you don't play them. WoW is relatively easy game to learn and get used to. Remember though that your memories of your brother isn't in a game, it's in your heart.

You can play WoW with whatever peripherals you feel most comfortable with. There is no 'legal' involved in regards to the mouse and keyboard you use to play the game. If you get involved in pro-tournaments, then they might have rules about what equipment you are allowed to use in the tournaments but for most of us that is not a concern.

I prefer a rather flat keyboard that feels more like a laptop one than a traditional computer keyboard. That is probably because my first few years of playing WoW were on a laptop. I also learned to play WoW while using a Microsoft Intellimouse Trackball since that was a lot easier to use while playing WoW sitting on the couch with the trackball on the arm of the couch. I can't even play WoW with a normal mouse without feeling totally awkward and weird. Trackballs are nice because you don't have to move your wrist or arm at all while playing. It's all done with finger movement.

I would also recommend making some characters of your own to learn on. In the upper right corner of your character selection screen, there is a button to push to choose another server. You can have up to 50 characters on a single WoW account but only 10 (soon to be 11) on any one server. You never lose any characters unless you actually delete them yourself and the realm selection screen tells you which servers you have characters on so you don't have to worry about going to another server and then not being able to remember which one your other characters are on. Playing characters from the beginning will also give you a better idea about the game and why your brother obviously enjoyed spending a lot of time with it.

Guides that cost money aren't worth it. There is so much free information about the game available and sites like this one have a lot of people more than willing to answer questions that you have. Still, all the reading and research in the world can't replace what you will learn from just sitting down and immersing yourself in the game itself.
