So another weekend is upon us. Let's hope the weekend goes by as slowly as this week has seemed to.

WoW Goals:
I may not get to log on as I have my son this weekend. If I do get on, I'll just knock out a couple heroics and maybe a LFR DS.

Real Life Goals:
I have to go to the mall and buy a couple pairs of shorts for my upcoming vacation. I also need some new dress socks. I need to go to the Disney Store and get my son an autograph book and a Buzz Lightyear t-shirt to wear on his first day at Disney World. I will also go by GameStop and see if they still have the B2G1 sale going on.

What are you guys aiming to get accomplished?

WOW: Since I can't focus, I'm going to try to move some lower level alts to the point that I can use their first set of glyphs and possibly two box a few instances.

RL: Sigh. I love fireworks, but the constant barrage during Spring Festival gives me a two week headache. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some naps in, visit the tui na ladies, and generally try to keep it under control.

Good luck to everyone!

I plan on reaching level 55 (possibly one or two levels higher if they keep going as quickly as they have been) with my main. *Maybe* I'll give the dungeon locator a try as I have several mobs I'm supposed to kill in Stratholme. I tried entering solo at level 47-ish. Made it past the first wave of skellies outside the gate, but couldn't manage the first wave inside.

RL: /waves to BigDaddy and son from the land of Disney. The weather should be gorgeous!! Enjoy. Smiley: smile

My father has a new PC and needs some help from me in transferring some files from the old PC to the new one, etc. I will inherit his 22" (I think - anyway BIG) monitor. *Does happy dance* I have decided to eschew cable TV, so will be making a trip to the cable company to turn in the equipment. Ironically I could not get a signal on the TV last night so called the cable company and, after about 45 minutes of the repair rep. trying to reset my modem, finally discovered the cable box itself somehow wasn't working. (Rep. asked me to plug the cable from the wall directly into the TV and then I received the cable signal). I decided this was confirmation on my decision.

I need to do some laundry, go to the grocery, and other mundane chores.

WoW - work on the elder event with the 5 that haven't done any of it, and do the Cata portion with those that need it. It's worth almost a bar per elder for my lowest character so that'll let me pass the slack spot that it's been stuck in.

RL - need to cook a bunch of food ahead this weekend, too busy with work next week to take the time to prepare meals each evening so the weekend off will see to the meals.
Sale started on some panels I've been wanting but it coincides with a period of low available funds so may have to pass them up this time. We'll see I may be able to scrape together enough to get one anyway just see who is Peter and who is Paul this time :P

Oh we're not going until the end of February, but I want to get everything ready ahead of time.

So there ya go Rhode, put it on your calendar, the February 27 summary thread and March 2 goals thread you will need to post as I have no plans on bringing a computer to Disney World.

Although, we could bring my mom's laptop. I wouldn't be able to play WoW, but I could still get online.

Give me a last minute reminder, but I've got it covered. That's going to be close to the start of the new semester for me and I expect a certain amount of chaos, thus the request for a reminder.

RL:
Friday night wine & snacks. Saturday I need to work on our builtin vacuum motor to see if I get it from hanging up on rotor dead spot, otherwise I'll have to get a new one (ouch, there would go a chunk of money for a new laptop). Still have some other housework and paperwork tasks that need doing. Maybe we can get out for some walks, if the rain holds off for a bit.

WoW:
My tauren druid is at 60 in Outland, and can probably go another level before resting. My 64 BE DK has rested enough, and can continue there as well. Should give a wake-up call to my 80+ alliance toons and see where they need to be going next. We'll see.

Enjoy!

I finally found my way back into the broken Mt Hyjal quest line. Its below me, I know, but its fun and the leather is good. I eventually plan to return to the AT to go for my fourth and fifth city championships, but maybe a couple of weeks - it was feeling pretty stale. Need to run some dungeons, a couple more standards to hone my new DPS rotation, then hit the heroics. I keep having to miss my guild raids, may try the random route, but I'm hesitant about going that way on my 'virgin' raid.

Maxed out all of my professions, so now I'm deciding whether to go for archaeology as well - one I've never tried before on any alt. It'd be nice to be able to go for another primary, but not if I have to give one up. Skinning is too good a source of quick profit an enchanting is useful now. It'd be nice if there was some way to let the skill, say skinning for example, lapse but not be taken permanently off your record (make retired skinners buy a temporary hunting license or something) but otherwise move along to a different profession.

Ah, ok. I tend to do things like that the night before I leave for a trip. Smiley: blush

End of February should also be gorgeous weather. Typically January-February will be the "coldest" (cold being relative) time of the year, but so far it's been very springlike. Current temp. at 3:30 EST is 70 degrees F. Smiley: smile

Another nice thing about coming in February is very low to non-existent humidity.

Yep, my (soon to be ex) wife and I went there for our honeymoon the first full week of January 08 and the weather was gorgeous. The "projected high" for our upcoming trip is like 75.

I'm used to the humidity, though, being from New Orleans.

Woot! Another person who understands humidity. (Not that I like humidity; it's just all part of the package of living in an area one enjoys.)

New Orleans is awesome! I was fortunate enough to visit, expense paid, when I was the escort for a group of girls who were participating in a synchronized swim meet held in New Orleans. 99% of the time was spent at the pool, but the last day we had 8 hours before our flight left to go sightseeing. Sightseeing with five 13-year old girls was an "interesting" experience. I had to corral them from going into every store that sold T-shirts and convince them they would enjoy the next stop on my itinerary. It took some doing, but we managed to hit the main tourist spots. I'd love to return solo and really take my time. I'd especially like to do the haunted tours a la Anne Rice and/or the cemetary tours.

I hope your home was not badly damaged by Katrina. (I adopted a lovely cat from our local Humane Society that was one rescued from Katrina and then brought here. She was already spayed, declawed, and chipped. I can tell she was always an indoor cat. I've often wondered what happened to her owners.)
