The way I understood it, triage healing was about spreading the damage taken by the tank out over the entire group, forcing the healer to alternate between healing the tank and healing the group. That's why classes gained some improved survivability, so they could actively prolong their own deaths.

That's just not how it was implemented. Smiley: disappointed

I don't know, even as a druid healer (arguably the easiest healing class right now) I was having issues. My HPS was typically lower than the resto shaman's, and this was during Firelands when resto shamans were crap. Even after making power auras, and feeling like I had a firm grip on what I was supposed to be doing to heal properly, I still didn't do well and it stressed me out. I don't recall ever causing a wipe, aside from when learning new fights, but I still wasn't as good as I should have been.

Played a Resto Druid for most of TBC and WotLK and I can't anymore. They did some changes to bring Druid healing up to where everyone else is, but it just feels so... wrong.

And the Shaman is definitely my favorite healer right now. Healing Rain, Healing Stream Totem and Chain Heal makes for some nice AOE healing, and you can still push out those 1.5-second 100k crits when you need to. Druid still has some nice AOE healing, but I miss Regrowth and Nourish.

Plus, Shaman healing spell animations look awesome. Water vs green glowy things and leaves.

I can understand missing Regrowth, but you shouldn't be missing Nourish. That's the spell you cast when nobody needs healing and you need to refresh Harmony and Lifebloom. It costs less mana than Healing Growth, so it makes more sense to use Nourish when people are at full or near full.

I remember when -everything- including Shaman spells were green leaves, 'cept priest/paladin.

One problem being that if no one is taking damage then it's more mana efficient to refresh Lifebloom with Lifebloom while waiting for people to drop low enough that Healing Touch becomes efficient.

My Shaman uses Healing Wave more than my Druid uses Nourish, simply because Healing Wave doesn't lose 20% effectiveness if the HoT drops off, only takes 1.5 seconds to cast and crits send 30% additional healing to whoever needs it the most.

Druid healing is extremely clunky compared to the other classes. I blame Lifebloom and Nourish. If they removed the HoT restriction on Nourish then it would be around the range of Healing Wave in terms of healing done. If they increased Lifebloom's duration to 15 seconds, or better yet, removed the need to stack it, maybe I wouldn't feel like I'm playing "How many heals can I get off before Lifebloom drops and we wipe?" whack-a-mole in heroics.

Don't get me wrong, Druid healing is a lot better than it was at Cataclysm release, but it's still clunky and inefficient as hell.

My account got banned once for farming 5-6 hours per day for a couple weeks. I talked to them via email and explained that I just wanted a motorcycle. They reinstated my account. Lol. (When hogs came out, 12k was a lot of money)
