I'm looking at your gear and it sucks. Cheap hookers with the Fleet in town could not suck more. Your talents are all wrong and seem to have been picked by a drunken monkey slinging ***** at the talent tree. I cannot believe that is what you're using for glyphs! Did you even look at how the math on some of those works? Your gems? Don't get me started, if the monkey wanted something disgusting to throw it would go for your gems instead. And what about those enchants?

Your rotation is all wrong too and you're losing serious DPS because you clip things at the wrong time.

Wait, you are XiaoxiaoJJ over on CN2, Emerald Dream, right?

We can't know if your gear is the issue without looking at it. Armory link would be helpful.

That said, Fire and Arcane are exceedingly different play styles. It will take you time to get the hang of the one you're not used to. Walk us through your basic fire rotation and let's see if there are any holes to clean up.

Finally, unless something has changed with the increase in gear(which shouldn't be an issue at the gear level your DPS levels suggests), fire's massive output over arcane tends to be situational. Some fights just favor one over the other. In fire's corner will always be fights with movement, fights with massive crap-tons of adds and anything that turns pyroblast's base cast time into a machine gun.

That was rather the point of my prior post, I just thought that I'd skip straight to the stock comments and get them out of the way.Smiley: oyvey

Laggard! What if this is actually a plot by somebody that will later spam us with a link to their site, advertising tricks to maximize your WOW play and possibly other questionable services? How can I be sure it isn't really XiaoxiaoJJ? Next thing you know and it is KungPow, ni hao and <cannot link to URL>!

There is that too. Smiley: rolleyes Not a huge deal, but it's not that hard to look for the appropriate place for your post.

And yeah, we can't critique your mage without the proper information. Give us a link to your mage's profile on battle.net, and tell us your rotation.

Also, keep in mind that Fire is only better in raids. Fire's strengths are good AoE and ease of movement without stopping dps. Arcane is good at single target, hitting hard and hitting fast. So in heroics, Arcane is still going to out damage Fire in most cases.

In fairness, the drop down menu isn't that intuitive and a first time poster wouldn't have a strong reason to go looking for specialized forums that don't really exist anymore. When there was a mage forum it might have been a more meaningful distinction, but now that all the class info has been lumped together the difference is largely one of "would you like a bored druid thread with that"?
