Is there any way of disabling the auto pop-up of th big map without removing Carbonite altogether? I'm having fits with both the AT and Ice-crown jousting. Just as I'm about to evade or close for the kill that damn map pops n up and momentum totally changes
I've never had the large map auto pop-up on me, including while jousting. I'm not trying to belittle you when I say this, but is there a chance you are inadvertently toggling the (M) button? Or have you reassigned a key in the past that toggles the map? Do you have Carbonite updated?
I right clicked the map and mini-map and picked options and saw nothing that referred to auto pop-up. The only decent suggestion I can make is to open the map options and UNCHECK the first box that says;
"Maximize Carbonite map instead of opening normal map"
If the normal map still pops up on you as Carb's has, then it may not be a Carbonite issue.

You're right. I've tested it and its a Blizzard thing independent of Carbonite. Moreover,it hits when I try to pull the mouse around in a tight U or right, so I'm nowhere near any keys.
Temporarily its a moot point. Turns out I was attacking the wrong mobs, going at the Commanders rather than the lieutenants who turned out to be a simple "belly up and beat them to death" proposition. I say temporarily because those others wouldn't be there if I wasn't going to have to deal with them eventually.
