Is this a bug?Follow

Several times now, since the last release, when attempting to either locate a quest or turn it in by clicking the quest "bullet", Carbonite (I assume) came back with the Statement
This objective is not in the database.

I have a feeling that this indicates a bug or omission in either the WoW code or a bug in the latest Carbonite. The most recent example is the "Signal the Attack" sub-quest in the Twilight Citadel series. I complete the quest requirement, following which the quest line showed "Click ? to complete quest" in bright red, but no amount of mousing produced a result. I then clicked on the 'bullet' to return to the quest giver, which is when the "This objective is not in the database" message occurred. Manually returning to the location where the quest originated showed no NPC ready to receive it.

Is there any other option than just abandoning the quest and moving on?

from wowhead info on that particular quest

If you have Carbonite or any other add-ons that have a different interface for the quest list, you should press ALT+L, it will show you the original WOW Quest List, and you can click on 'Complete Quest' there.

Also when you run into this stuff, troubleshooting 101 says disable your addons and see if that changes your results ;)
