No macros savingFollow

I create macros since this patch and none of mine are staying on my character.. this is horrible cause on my hunter I link "Focus Fire" and "Steady Shot" together. Any suggestions or is there a file I can delete then let it rebuild? Im just getting sick of having to re-type all my macros for my hunter and warrior into my bars

Do the macros save while you're playing and then go away when you relog? Sounds like the cache files are being blocked somehow.

Your macro files are found in your WTF -> Account -> <Name> folder. There's one in the <Name> folder (your cross-character macros) and one in each of the the <Realm> -> <Character> folders (character macros). You're looking for files called macros-cache. They should be .txt files so you can open them with Notepad/Wordpad and check them out.

They might have... um... that protection thing turned on. You know, the thingy that prevents you from saving changes to the file. That might be why the macros aren't saved in the file when you exit the program or whatever.

Right-click the .txt file and go to Properties. Make sure that 'read-only' or w/e it's called is turned off (unchecked).

This is just a complete guess, but if the macros not saving is anything like the bug with the bad word filter automatically getting re-enabled every time you log, you can try to Alt + F4 to exit the game instead of /camp, or /quit... and it might fix it...

Alternatively, make sure you're running the game as an administrator if you're running Vista.

Which, if you are, you have our deepest condolences.

Keep hearing people about their jokes and how bad Vista is, but I still have yet to encounter ANY issues with it with any aspect of programs that I use. Maybe I'm just not as stupid as those that say it's bad... (or the fact that I am the admin since it is my laptop...)

Yeah, that's pretty much how it has been for me, as well.

Haven't had issues with Vista or 7 x64. My dad keeps having issues with 7 x64 and I keep telling him it's because he's not as awesome as me.

Then I run. Fast.

Very few problems on Vista as well, especially since Kao told me how to turn certain features off. What I run WoW on most of the time is still XP Home.

Sorry I didn't get back quickly. Protection wasn't on but hidden only was. So I un-clicked that and BOOM everything worked. Running Win 7 64 bit. Well thanks for the help. My hunter is now back at 17k dps thanks to my macros and I'm still wearing 2 333 items :).
