Choosing Fullscreen mode or Windowed (Fullscreen) will make your game take up the whole screen. If objects on the screen are too small, you need to adjust your UI scale back to a bigger number. Check what resolution you have the game (and your computer) set to as well. Other than that, I'm not sure what the issue is. I play on Mac as well, using Windowed (Fullscreen) mode, my UI scale is set to Low (1.0) and the resolution is 1680x1050 (wide) and everything's fine on my end.
