Thanks, Rhode for making the WEekend Goals thread on Friday. It was my birthday so I took off of work so I wasn't around to make it myself.

I hope everyone accomplished their goals. I capped VP on my DK, got TB trinkets on my DK and rogue, and did a day of DMF dailies on my DK.

How did you guys do on the goals you actually set?

WOW: Try to sort out mail on too many alts. Ding a level on the Alliance druid. Maybe ding a few levels on lower level alts to burn off rested XP.

I hit a roll and dinged a level on the druid, but I'm going to hold off on a serious push to 80 until 4.3 hits. It would be frustrating to plow through Northrend and see the XP dropped by 33% right afterwards. I made some progress on my priest and hunter (d/e and inscription respectively) and will probably work on them next week.

RL: Plans involve nubile young women and possibly a quart or so of olive oil. YMMV.

Nope, they didn't take me shopping and I'm still stuck with soybean oil. Pasta will have to wait.
Guys! I'm old, whatever were you thinking?

WoW:
Well the availability of Chaos Orbs in the AH has me farming stuff for crafted epics. Truegold is the stumbling block with only one alchemist able to do the transmute and it selling for 600g a slug on that AH. I could always level up my other alchemist I suppose but 39 (300 alchemy) to transmute truegold is a bit of a stretch.

Well no love for the alchemist.
I couldn't bring myself to buy enough truegold for a chest but my engineer made himself the epic headgear and put in the daft cogwheel gems. I wonder how long before they drop that idea?

My hunter made the epic tunic. Then I noticed he was still in greens in a couple of slots and made the pvp items for them. This got me "Cataclysmically Superior" although I cheated on the shoulders. I'd had a quest reward earlier in the day where the best option was shaman shoulders. They were BoP anyways so I equipped them and that was that slot done Smiley: smile

I see a lot of anger at people "using pvp gear to meet the gear level" but I swapped an item with 233 AGI for one with 401. Sure Resi is useless to me but overall my dps is higher than with a quested green.

On another server the price is much better and I may end up with some 359 plate.

Well I dithered while the price went down and then by the time I decided it had gone up again. This is for a protection paladin anyway so not much chance of needing it unless I suddenly decide I want to tank for groups which seems a long way off. Main purpose for this one is to duo with my daughter. We are clearing the WotLK heroics when we get to play so maybe another 10k hp would still be nice.

After that I might just try a cata dungeon if I feel confident enough.

Well I surprised myself and queued for Cata normals with my hunter and did ok. I managed enough JP to get the legs and halfway up the gloves and there was a boot drop that upgraded me. Somehow in about 10 dungeon runs I only saw Halls of Origination, Lost City, and Grim Batol. By the end I was up to around 10k dps overall so almost ready to start heroics once I get a better ranged weapon. The old Throat Needler is a bit tired.

I also have to sort out some macros and get my buttons straight. And stop running out of focus. Live and learn I guess.

And a couple of other alts discovered the Darkmoon Faire. At first it was a bit overwhelming. Also full of idiots - I mean stand on the shooting gallery on your mammoth so nobody can see a bloody thing why don't you!

I did think the eye over the entrance was very Cho'Gall looking. Is there something they're not telling us? Smiley: smile

Not really.

Pretty much yeah

I don't have any big goals although I would like to get a chance to try out the new 5 mans. I haven't really pushed to get in on any because I have been sick with a cold all week and just haven't felt like dealing with it. I don't have the gearscore to get into the LFR yet.

I didn't try out the new stuff yet. Our power went out early Saturday afternoon which left me scrambling later to finish off the dailies I had planned on doing. Of course being sick and tired also meant that I didn't feel like trying to form a group for stuff either.

Quote:
My friend has his usual old content raid planned for Saturday night but I forget which one he has up. He usually does achievement oriented stuff on Saturday and transmog type stuff on Sundays.

I managed to get on only a little late (because of the power being out until 6pm) but he had already cancelled the run due to not enough other people showing up.

Quote:
I am supposed to go visit family on Sunday but if I'm still this sick then I won't go. I'd hate to pass it on to more people than necessary.

I didn't go out there. I felt a bit bad later about it because my sister told me that my mom's cat (very old) finally died and so she was looking forward to seeing me. I just can't justify going out to visit with children and elderly when I'm sick with a cold though.

Quote:
I'm getting closer to finishing all the cooking and fishing city daily achievements so if I'm lucky, I might finish off some of them this weekend. I'm still keeping up with my Draenei Firelands dailies with only one more vendor to open up before I get my mount. I'm trying to level up my Night Elf Rogue so I can use her to herb in Northrend. I did a little on her after getting her to 68 but her gear is so poor (mostly HFP and Zangermarsh) that I don't do well in fights yet. I need to get a little more questing done on her.

The chicken one in Ironforge finally came up which got most of my Alliance characters done with Ironforge at least. I didn't do much more leveling because of the power outage. I also discovered late Sunday that the DM Faire had started which totally took over my evening.

Quote:
I want to set aside some time to play some other games too this weekend. I'm thinking Morrowind or Terraria but I may end up feeling like something else.

I didn't do this at all. I blame the DM Faire for taking up what would have been my spare time. That plus the power outage which left me reading a book until it got too dark to read by outside light and then hunting down candles (which are hard to read by).

Leveled Death Knight to 85, did the Thrall quest to get the mantle, started Fireland Dailies and did some professions. Visited Darkmoon Faire and messed around a little bit.

RL - enjoyed the party, always a plus when you win stuff for being there ;)

WoW - didn't get much of anything done besides collecting about 1000 gold from some auctions of items gathered soloing BC dungeons last week for some old quests that were cluttering my log. Good to know how well the stuff sells AND doing so got me a couple profession recipes (BoP) that I was missing so it's all good... plus the cloth from BC dungeons... sells for 6G a stack or the same stack makes a cloth item that sells for 40G on my AH... free money whenever I want to clean up the AH of cloth.

Too much WoW.

Farmed my Disc Priest from 346 ilvl to 374ish. Took my hunter from 356 to 365. Also farmed 1k VP on 4 characters and cleared the LFR on all my toons.

Reached level 81 while blundering about on Mt Hyjal. Learned the hard way that the Cata algorithm and/or mobs are tougher and smarter (not just bigger) than the earlier releases and its time for a real improvement in my tactics - I'd almost forgotten you can die in his game. It IS nice that i can now fly back to my corpse rather than running, but I'd rather not make the trip at all, thankyouverymuch.

Unfortnately, my loot has once again outstripped my disenchanting ability, so I may have to spend a couple of days soloing dungeons in Outland and hide hunting to afford the spending spree it'll take to catch up.

Not a bad weekend, Sykrims is amazingly epic. Love that game so far and can't wait for tomorrow night so I can play more.

WoW- Ran a few heroics on my priest and came close to the VP cap. Also ran with the other guilds alt team and picked up my teir gloves so I now have 2 peice tier 13. Got kinda pissed when I waited around for a half hour for their tank to get back only to have them ask me to leave right after...

RL- Didn't get as much homework as I had hoped done, but i'm not to worried I think i'm still good.
