I wanted to do a poll, but I couldn't think of anything, so I started this one. Now that that interesting and completely relevant back-story is out of the way:

The first thing I'm going to do when MoP hits is?
Monk! Monk monk monk monk monk!:18 (38.3%)
Lvl 90, yay new end game stuffs!:26 (55.3%)
Re-roll everything Panda-style!:1 (2.1%)
Have my new Panda eat Last Week's Mammoth and troll /2:2 (4.3%)
Total:47

Last couple of expansions I've actually started over from scratch. Everyone else goes rushing off to the new areas, and I roll a new alt and end up getting to the party a bit late. I may actually change that up this time and try and make some money off people leveling professions.

Anyway, what do you want to do?

I don't have much interest in playing a monk and don't plan on changing my main, so I will be taking my paladin to lvl 90 and working on professions and all that fun stuff. The gatherers on my server must love me when new expansions drop, because I hate to farm and always powerlevel my professions (engineering/alchemy) as soon as possible using the AH.

I will probably focus more on leveling my main though I will probably start a Panda pretty quickly (assuming more characters slots!). I figure that I will try going through the Panda starting stuff during Beta so I won't feel as compelled to go do it again in Live right away.

Of course if they don't add more character slots, my Panda (not sure what class) and Monk (Troll most likely) will end up on some other server that I seldom find time to play on. :(

Completely depends on how much of a mess that whole thing turns out to be, so at this point it's impossible to tell.

Unless (or until) they increase the characters per realm, MoP is not going to happen for me anyway.

Probably roll a monk and level it. I want a new tank/healer and one that's based around martial arts has made me want to make it my main even after the FOTM craze dies down or even if it's underpowered at launch.

I'll play with my main and relearn the class and it's mechanics in MoP. Then once everything settles down and the reviews and forums are a buzz with what works or doesn't work with the monk class, I'll dabble with it and the pandas.

My main is still my pride and joy, going through BC, WotLK, and Cata, I'm not just going to put him on the back burner and invest in a class/race that I have no attachment or history with.

Leveling my shadowpriest to 90.
Or still playing D3.

Can't say which one is more likely yet.

I may give realm first level 90 ______ a go.

I just have to decide if I will go for it with my DK, rogue, or shadow priest.

Everyone should level a shaman, or continue to level their shaman.

I'll probably play a bit on each one of my characters to see how bad the talent revamp turned out (assuming they don't roll it out before the launch like they did with the Cataclysm changes).

So far I've seen very little about Mists of Pandaria that makes me feel like I want to level up and do the heroic grind again.

Might just stick around and see what they do about the new PvP thing. If that falls through, I'm probably out. I don't want to go through six months of "woops, broke the game again" and then spend another half year running the same two dungeons over and over again for upgrades that are inferior to stuff you can buy from the PvP vendor.

The ZA/ZG period of Cataclysm has without a doubt been the least exciting part of this game's history since as far back as I can remember. Two flipping dungeons, man. Even Wrath of the Lich King offered more than that. And ZA/ZG aren't even good dungeons. Wonky boss mechanics, some of which are stressful, some that are downright boring and some that are just silly broken (let's stun you and spawn fire underneath you at the same time... and fire all around you in case you try to trinket and run).

Doesn't help that Zul'Aman is the biggest ****** magnet this game has seen since the Death Knight class was released. And funny enough, the majority of retards being pulled in there are Death Knights.

It's like two scoops of doh with failsauce and a facepalm cheery on the top.

Mom keeps saying that she might camp the TLPD when MoP drops, but I keep telling her that there's gonna be a bunch of people who have the same exact idea.

Meh.

lol.

As for me, I dunno. Not sure.

TLPD... Time-Lost Proto Drake.

You know, that nearly impossible-to-get rare spawn in Storm Peaks?

That's the theory, but I told her that I bet there'll be at least 5 other people who'll think the exact same thing.

Definitely leveling, most likely my druid as main and then shaman/priest/mage depending on what looks interesting (dual-boxing ftw). Hit 90, gear up, raid, level professions and then start working on more alts.

I'm in no hurry to get a panda or monk, although Monk has slightly more chance of being played due to having a healing spec (my DK is level 63 and the main reason I'm thinking of leveling her is for the class act guild achievement).

Last year I pre-ordered and it took ages for my game to arrive :( I basically spent 4 days straight leveling once it arrived though (I was on holiday) and will probably plan to do something similar with MoP, but hopefully with the game arriving on time.

This is more or less what I'll be doing. Though I'll instead be one of the people leveling professions and making money that way. Always takes a week or two for recipes to become more common, and I usually make a fair amount on selling recipes only a few have.

This expansion, I think I made about 60k gold in the first week. Could have made more, but I was only focusing on JC and enchanting.

Have they said anything about the role that Glyphs will be playing in the new expansion?

All I've heard so far is that they're thinking of getting rid of prime glyphs.

All I've heard so far is that they're thinking of getting rid of prime glyphs.

There was mention of a Paladin glyph, for example, that would make it easier to keep up Inquisition in exchange for less bonus damage. I'm not sure if that's coming in with 4.3, if it's for MoP, or if it was just an idea they were tossing around at a dev meeting.

It's an interesting idea. For people that struggle with keeping track of several DoTs, buffs, procs, and debuffs, reduce the number of things they have to keep track of in exchange for lower potential DPS. For what I think is a substantial number of players, it should have a net increase in DPS.

They seem to want to change Major Glyphs around so that they all have a catch. Wild Growth increases number of people hit, but also increases cooldown, Inquisition lasts longer, but it has a reduced effect, etc.

They'll probably remove Prime Glyphs and roll those effects into the abilities in their war against cookie cutting.

I just wish they would make up their minds about Glyphs already. Remember how they first described the system?

I think I will roll a pandaren monk when I get my hands on a copy of MoP and see if it's any good.
I will atleast do the starting zones to see what it's like and then take the monk to level 40 or so.
If I'm not jumping around in extasy by then, I'll go level up some of my old characters to the new level cap.
