I hadn't noticed any mention of this in the other MoP threads so I thought I'd throw it into the panda blender.

I was wondering while levelling my priest with his heirloom shoulders and chest (for the extra XP) who would get them next. Then it struck me that since new pandas are not Alliance or Horde for 10 levels (almost an hour Smiley: smile ) they can't get post from someone who is not on their faction.

Unless there is a relaxation of the Azerothian Postal Service they will have to cope without heirlooms!

Is this the real reason for all the Panda hate?

I may be wrong, but didn't they allow cross-faction mailing of account-bound items as long as they are on the same server?

They did. Smiley: smile I don't think this will be an issue.

leveling before 60 is too fast anyways. I'd really want an option to slow down leveling. I want to experience full zones, without killing green/gray mobs for half a zone

I think it depends really. There are times I like to rush, and times I just want to sit back and relax. Right now with my lowbie shaman, I want to rush because I want her to hit 85 so I can get her geared up to start raiding. With my priest, I took my time more because I hadn't done all the zones yet and I had no real reason to rush to get her to 85.

I'd already be happy if there was an option to turn off the damn phasing so I don't return from a dungeon without having something useful to do.

Just like I'd like to yet again be able to just venture off and more or less discover new quests and hubs rather than being dragged there by the n00b-leash.

that's why I want an option to slow it down. Those who wanna rush can rush, but people like me could just slow the leveling down.

oops silly me Smiley: smile

Ah well it shows how much I use these things.

Generally I'd be in the "slow down" camp but I've been working on a guild achievement which needs characters levelled up.

The enhanced exp at low level means that many of the original quests have been cut out and even where zones have been completely revamped the exp is faster than the zones. Its like they tuned it all up and then someone added 15% exp to the quests. You can start off a zone at even level and by the time you're done the mobs are all green.

I find myself selectively missing out quests because they won't be needed. The upside is that it makes some areas more interesting because what used to be a linear grind can now be more varied

I would have done the starting zones without heirlooms anyways.

Other than spending 10g to turn off your xp entirely, you just have to use up your rest bonus and then log off outside of any Inns.

From what I've read, when the pandas reach level 10, they'll get to choose their faction.
I'm wondering if, the first 10 levels in the pandaland might be phased, with no access to mailboxes?
Blizz can be evil this way sometimes.
