Yes, but we like to believe it's because you love us Americans. Smiley: nod

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Everyone in the entire world loves Americans. Everyone. Yup.

Raw is French, true. But he moved here, so he it'd be pretty weird if he hated us.

It's funny talking to Aeth, and forgetting that he's not a native speaker until I use slang and he asks me what it is. =x

Oh I was just making a sweeping generalization because it was about somebody just about everyone on the forums hates and I knew I could get away with it. Smiley: sly

I don't know, I'm referring to the British/French colony north of the US.

Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about.

And to be honest, I didn't even know Raw was living on this side of the pond. I thought he was still in France.

No, I don't remember exactly where but he lives somewhere in the south. One time he mentioned how he has tail gate parties with wine and I've never been able to get the ridiculousness of that image out of my head.

That could happen maybe at a Stanford vs Cal-Berkely game, but not anywhere in the South. Unless the wine came from a box.

Well, keep in mind the dude is French. That's the only reason the idea makes any sort of sense but it's still hilarious.

Break out the boxes of wine around the turkey deep fryer at the tail-gate party... that actually sounds better than my current Halloween plans.... weird.

Seeing a turkey deep fryer for the first time at a local cottage rental place you're scoping out for next years rentals while the last of the cold-handling Americans are sticking it out one last weekend (in August)... yeah that's priceless.

It's more noticeable when I speak, and I have to admit that I do occasionally get some help from the red squiggly lines that Firefox places under words when I mess up the spelling.
And the speaking I hope to improve when I spend more time in the UK (I want to either get an internship in the UK or move there for a year or two after I'm done with my education).

Other than that I don't have to think about my English at all, I tend to think in English as well though.

I've had dreams where everyone was speaking French, and despite 7 years studying it I hardly consider myself fluent in it.

This. I often find myself trying to find a proper translation for an English word when I'm speaking Danish. It's a little scary.

I have that as well, that you see something and immediately know the English word for it but can't seem to remember the Dutch/Danish word.

Edit: also, the last dream I can remember involved me fronting a metalband, a car chase and an orange godzilla like monster.
My subconscious is awesome. ****** up but awesome.

I find that going to sleep in the morning gives me freaky dreams. I'll try to write one down the next time it happens.

Yeah I thought that was kinda funny too. I'll work on finishing up the shorts for mine tomorrow and I'll post a pic. But seriously, someone else needs to post some too.

I'm not doing Halloween this year, so nothing from me.

In lieu of the costumes, we could always try to turn this into The Picture Thread Part 2 (or was it 3? I don't remember).
