Hello Folks,

In short, It has been about 10 months since I last played World of Warcraft. Last I remember, I had hit 85 on my Hunter, geared up decent for the time, etc. One of the new additions(upcoming or out now?) that caught my eye, is the new appearance altering feature. The name eludes me, but I was wondering if anyone has tested it out and how it works exactly? Being that I cannot remember the name, I do not have much of a starting point to search for it! Anyhow, the main thing I was wondering is if I will be able to re-download all the entire client as I do not have any of my original disc's hanging around anymore and am on a new computer since I last played. I think I had purchased Cataclysm via digital download (from Blizzard I think) but I do not remember... Regardless, once I get that situated, I will see you folks back in game!

Wow Bodhi, that was helpful. Smiley: rolleyes I get that you're cynical and not enjoying yourself, but that doesn't mean other people won't.

To the OP: The new feature is called Transmogging (or mogging for short) and it isn't available yet. It will be released for 4.3 which is probably a month or more away still. You can quite easily download the game via the game client found on battle.net. The disks aren't really needed anymore.

Really, 10 months out of Shawshank. Stay strong, the game is better than it was at Cata release but for reals don't do it!

I won't get into why it seems that some people try to get others to stay away... but I don't really get the reasoning behind their ways of telling them to not come back.

The easiest way to see if you want to come back (and decide if you want to stay or leave again) only takes $15.

Realize that 4.3 (hopefully coming in the next month) is going to bring a lot of new stuff that might hold your attention longer than what Molten Front and Firelands can.

I am excited about the new Looking For Raid option, transmogification, and the BoE Chaos Orbs (I don't run dungeons normally, and when I did I never got one), and I am sure I am leaving out some other stuff too.

Plus don't forget that holiday time (Holiday events) in WoW is awesome in its own right.

Transmogrification

Not to be confused with this. Unless Blizzard doesn't get all the bugs worked out, then I expect similar results... Smiley: wink

Basically any Green-quality or better item can have it's appearance swapped with any other of the same gear type; excluding things like fish, invisible chest pieces, and legendary weapons.

That's why it used Ethereal technology rather than Gnomish.

Wait, what? I shouldn't bother holding onto the invisible chest piece because I can't transmog it? Dang.... and I'm a sad panda (wait... does that fly now that Panderan are coming?) that I had finally tossed some of my more... interesting... items from TBC on my main to make room for them and they were quest rewards so I'm not sure if I'll have access to that item look? Said tossing took place not long before transmog was announced.

I want to say there was a blue posts not long ago discussing that particular item. One of the respondents was a sad panda (or gnome, i don't really remember), because they wanted to use an undershirt to look like a pirate all year long or something.

Well that's sad... because I have the pirate shirt on all my characters, ok maybe not all but the 2 males don't get played very much anyway so I'm not even sure they have shirts.
