I think this is just a marketing action to keep player in wow. When Diablo 3 will finally come out I’m pretty sure that 30% of all wow players what are not satisfied anymore with the game will switch to Diablo 3. Well anyway all the money will stay by Blizzard. I will buy the pass anyway as I will play both games :-) But I might decide to focus on Diablo 3 if it rocks!

I agree. Which is why there is no attraction to having more than one copy of D3. I'd not even give my kids my WoW passwords and if the D3 is tied to it that is only one year-pass for me.
As for "die hard mount collectors" Thank you for an image that I really didn't need of the new Bruce Willis mount. Yee-ha

I signed up for it. I figure I'll play for another year, though Hubby has pretty much quit playing WoW, and reading about the new changes and what's coming with the next expansion has just about clinched it completely, but he has talked about trying Diablo III. So, it works out for us that way. We get the beta, and, if he likes it, we'll get the CE and I get 4 months of the WoW contract paid for.
A friend I talked with last night was under the impression that the 1 year contract had to be paid for in advance all at once, lol. That I wouldn't have done, lol.

I'll be getting Diablo 3. I may or may not get the CE edition but I won't be playing WoW anymore.
