TGIM: Thank God it's Monday!

Yes, I'm actually saying that. This weekend was exhausting.

I barely got any WoW time in so my goals were shot.

I met the real life goals though. My son had a blast at Toys R Us and the cookies came out great.

How did you guys do on your goals?

WOW: Fail. I did manage to do the Brewfest dailies on the baby druid and burned off some random rested XP.

RL: <censored>

Um, yeah ... PG13, right. Um, there were... excesses. Many, many excesses. Here's to the Year of the Rabbit! <downs another mug of Shaoxing>

Friday night wine & snacks, catch up on shows recorded this week. Dinner with neighbours tomorrow, dinner with friends on Sunday. If the weather is good, then we may get out to do a bit of painting on the house, and for some walks in between.
Real life took up most of the an enjoyable weekend. Shows on Friday night, housework on Saturday from noon until dinner with neighbours. Sunday morning painting & concrete patching & tree trimming went well for a sunny morning, then to Starbucks for coffee's and read our books, then out to dinner at friends house.

Still working on fishing/cooking dailies and professions for various 79+ Alliance toons, and their Classic Alliance city rep. Might get back to my 79 shaman and push her to 80, 80 rogue is continuing in Storm Peaks. I've been thinking of starting a new toon and leveling with herbalism & mining alone on the Horde side, but not sure which race / class to pick. Already have a 48 tauren druid so I'm not sure I want to repeat that, although the herbalism advantage and flying might be nice. We'll see.
Only had time to start up a tauren druid for herbalism & mining with no questing / killing. Unfortunately, I was dying quite a bit from those level 5 / 6 beasties protecting the herbs and ore nodes. Hmmm, these first levels are going to be harder than I thought. Maybe there should be XP for cooking and fishing as well....

I'm hoping I get into that other guild's raid tonight. I got pulled in Wed night and we got Shannox down. I know they like my dps but I also know that if they have more guildies wanting to go that it's only right that they take them instead of me. I'm not ready to switch guilds yet (especially to go to one that is more behind than my own) and I did talk to one of the officers in my guild about the second raid group being reformed so I'm still hoping something will come of that and I can be back doing at least the normal current content instead of a group that still struggles with some of the T11 stuff. At least they are fun people which does make up for it somewhat. :) (oh - got the agi helm from Shannox the other night too which looks silly but was a huge upgrade.)

I ran with them on Friday night and we got the Gatekeeper down. We also tried a few other bosses but the raid leader didn't think we had a good make up for them so he gave up pretty quickly. :/ The Mace dropped but I lost the roll on it. Still, I finally had enough VP for my first piece of T12 so I was pretty happy anyways. I would have been a bit annoyed at having to replace one of my brand newly bought Tankards so fast as well so I guess it all worked out. Heh

We have the usual Sat old content raid scheduled but people haven't shown a lot of interest in it lately so who knows what I will end up doing.

We ran a 25 man Ulduar for achievements and got mounts for a bunch of people. We actually managed to not ***** up any of the achievements so no trip back will be necessary for this bunch. I'm a little sorry that I didn't bring an alt but I really wanted to get the Algalon key quest finished off which I did finally. (yay) I know the key isn't needed anymore but I still wanted to get through the quest.

Brewfest is here and I do want to eventually get the new stein for the bulk of my characters. I am also trying to do enough to get the pink elekk for the ones who don't have it and the new keg pony on a few others. For my main, I mostly would just like to get a hold of a couple of the tankards but not quite badly enough to really want to drag alts in there too to increase my chances. I may try a couple of alts on it this weekend though if I feel up to dealing with pugs.

I've been steadily working through the alts but only getting one or two things on most of them so as not to feel too burned out. I haven't taken any alts into the Direbrew fight but Tankard prices are so low right now that I went and bought a pair for my main and another pair for my other 85 Shaman. I need to go check the prices on Alliance and maybe pick up a pair for that Shaman too for her to use when she hits 85. I've also finally used up a lot of my old Brewfest tickets from the first year that many of my alts have been holding onto. :)

My gear farming has slowed down with the Brewfest taking up some of my free time. I want to work some more on it. I would also like to take the time to do some questing on lowbies or to perhaps drag an alt through some dungeons for gear/exp.

I played my little Warrior a bit with his experience turned off. Other than that, I mainly ground out Brewfest stuff on alts.

I need to remember to check the bag situation on the AH more often. With all the gear runs I have been doing in BC, I have been accumulating Netherweave cloth like crazy. For some odd reason, the bags in the AH on my faction/server have become terribly overpriced so I've been tossing 5-10 Netherweave bags on to the AH most every day at 12g and they've been selling in hours because they are so 'cheap' compared to most of the stuff in there. It's been kind of fun making some extra gold like this but I still have no idea why the market has seemed so weird lately.

It's going so well that I can list them for the 12hr price and they still sell really fast. I could make more gold if I check more often but I'm usually busy doing other stuff in game. Heh

Real life - the usual visit to family on Sunday of course.
I'm also making my way through the new My Little Pony cartoons at the insistence of a friend. :)

Family visit went well and I'm all caught up with My Little Pony. Yay!

I got Kalu'ak to exalted and enjoyed my new pet and fishing pole. I didn't hit 80 though, as football and RL are interfering with my WoW time.

RL was mostly work, kids and watching an anemic Seattle team somehow win a game.

Didn't get the legendary quest finished. Ran into some technical difficulties Saturday before the raid and I didn't have time for any more attempts. Made me sad, but oh well. I'll get it finished this week.

Helped my friend with his UI, but I ended up staying the night an extra night. Was fun, but my poor kitty was stranded at my new place with no one to feed her. =/ Really need to get the stupid tail lights fixed on my car so I can drive at night.

I got financial aid, yay! Smiley: grin

Haven't had a chance to post my goals but here's what I done anyway.

Friday - We'd been having trouble filling raids since the summer started so this was the first time in a while we had at least 9 Guild in the run. We managed Shannox and our first kill of Beth'tilac. Had a quick look at Baleroc before we called it a night.

Saturday - A couple of Zuls on my alt Warlock and worked on Loremaster a bit more on my Paladin. Done Black Temple and Sunwell for the Achievements too.

Sunday - Back into Firelands, we had 11 sign-ups but only 10 turned up so off we went. Baleroc went down on the 1st try for our 1st kill of him and we went to look at Lord Rhyolith. Didn't look like we were going to get him that night but on the very last try he died.

All in all, a decent wekend for us all

-Mage: FL dailies and guild rep gains. Get off my *** and finally do another heroic(I haven't done one since returning from my break).
-Warrior: Level to around 45, hopefully get in some nice Scholo runs with a couple friends. Attempt to make gold that no level 45 should have.
-Hunter: Level to about 30.

-Mage: Did the dailies, got the rep. Kicked Coren Direbrew's *** a few times. Usually doubling the DPS of the closest person to me(hooray for fights that are awesome for fire mages). Didn't get around to doing a heroic, however.

-Warrior: Hit level 49. Passed the 6k gold mark. Only a single Scholo, but did a number of other instances as well, so good enough.

-Hunter: No level 30. Level 28. PvPed a bit after hitting 28. Heirloom gear folks are way worse than the old school twinks ever were. At least twink costs were prohibitive enough that only a few per BG were present. Now it's usually more than half the other team, with a slew of level 25s on my own side, naturally.

And what the **** is up with those GYs? Smiley: motz

If you can't tell, I haven't PvPed much since TBC. Smiley: laugh

But of a long weekend here, did most of the RL goals on the farm, still need to skill up hunting though via license purchases for likely game.

WoW - druid is now 72 after finally moving to northrend after sticking it out in outlands for a breakup of routine. Liked BT again as I didn't go step by step from the boat to the next questing zone and the next closest. Was nice to not have the whole linear feel to the zone though I did slam out the zone achievement while there.
