Hey, this isnt =28 what gives??
So...im still an EQ dork but seriously, they are messing with things and tl;dr ... do any of you play on Llane? Thats my cousins server, and last month I ended up getting the base game at Wallyworld for $20 so I got some game time with it and started an OP'd arcane mage (I hadnt read the forums before I rolled it honest!).
So, yeah anyway pm names if you do play on this server, or pm offers to sell me rare pets/mounts for outrageous prices...
infoz: 42 arcane mage, Gnome, single, Alliance (eventually I'll probably make me a horde lock, may pick another server if many of you are in one and need a newb for your guild to beat)

Okay, most important question here... Horde or Alliance? 
Llane doesn't sound familiar, so I don't think anyone plays there, but I might be wrong. If you want to exchange REAL ID info though, and you're smart and play Horde, I'd be willing to run heroics and stuff with you once you hit 85.

Welcome to WoW. Ignore all the doom-saying crap that gets spewed about and enjoy the game. I know I will probably come back once I eventually get moved into my new house. 
Such a bloody headache trying to get things working.
Anywho... take your time and don't be afraid to roll alts. Questing goes by easy enough and it doesn't hurt to play some different classes so you can get a feel for the one that you really enjoy.

I uh... play for the Alliance on my arcane mage

I've been doing this already for the past number of years, make a throw away account to play with for a bit, and to kill my staleness from EQ2 at times until I would return. This time, I've actually played long enough to understand the macro system though... omg @ how nice /stopcasting is to have with other spells.

A macro to stop casting? I just take a step forward or backward. As for playing on Llane, I used to have a toon there. My mains are on Hydraxis, but some recent experimentation has discovered that Kargath, so far has the best latency for me.

This. It changed once I started playing my Fire Mage, though. Trying to stop Scorch mid-cast and realizing nothing happens when you move and jump around.

Strangely, I'm on Llane. Horde side, though. I've got a 71 Tauren Paladin, tank, while my sub was inactive, I was thinking about coming back to the game, again.
Oh yay! I've a 72 lock Rio. We can run dungeons together. ^_^
I'm fairly sure that's why you added me on real ID, and then you never logged onto your lock, always messing around on your priest, I think.
