Well 90% of WoW players are stupid kids who aren't capable of understanding the tacts of a single boss, Blizzard wants their clients satisfied, so they nerf everything.

In the old times they would've never done that.

It is pathetic.

Source your numbers please.

There's no reason to see his numbers. His argument failed as soon as he said this, "In the old times they would've never done that." Blizzard has been nerfing content from the start, it's part of their M.O..

90% of WoW players aren't stupid kids, they just don't know what it means to raid. Why? Raiding is about team work, something a lot of players are too selfish to understand, or even act on. It also takes commitment, not just time and research but to other players. It's not about getting that uber tanking shield, it's about your team getting that uber tanking shield, and the mage's funky staff of lawldeeps, and the cleric's Aegis of Superior Divinity. Any and all slack is pulled by other players, or content is nerfed down to your level.

It's not a bad thing, players will always be at varying levels. Blizzard is just trying to cater to all of them. It's a big order to fill.

Although I do agree that blizzard always did this and will always do, this time they are doing it fairly early. They are nerfing to the ground 3 months after stuff being released. They always nerfed content, just not so much and so quick.

As I said in a old thread, when FL had been just released, it is too short of a raid content. Not easy, not impossible. Just too little.

Yeah it makes me think they're getting ready for 4.3 early and they want to make sure people get content done before then. Which frankly seems silly since 4.3 isn't even on the ptr yet.

While I'm as displeased by the timeline as anyone, there's no confirmation that what goes online next week will be anything close to the final version. Considering how proud they are of the current state of hotfix technology, I wouldn't be at all surprised if what we see is, rather than an across-the-board 20% nerf next maintenance, instead a constant stream of small tweaks on a daily basis or close to it. Possibly even boss-by-boss as they watch how the "new kill" numbers change.

If they only nerf normal content or early heroic bosses and gradually change that, would be better than 20% nerf for everything.
My old guild is about to kill Rag Heroic and I know they would hate to have to kill him nerfed.

I so love it when people try to say that those who raid hardcore don't have a life outside WoW. Have you actually ever known any hardcore raiders? When you say stupid **** like that, it sounds like you haven't. My guild has two teams of progression raiders, and most of the people on those teams have lives. They have spouses, kids, full time jobs, hobbies, friends, etc. They don't spend every waking hour playing WoW.

I think the problem is that everyone agrees there is a line between hardcore and casual play, but nobody agrees where that line is or even along what axis it extends. In my perception it usually ends up as "the group I am not is defined as everyone possessing these bad qualities which are the reason I'm not in that group." And from there it's an express train to Tautology-ville, where the women are female, the men possess a Y chromosome, and the children whose aptitude is measured to be in the top 50% of their peers are above-average.

Yeah... It's one of the reasons I hate binary thinking. People need to either be content with where they are, or do something to change it. If you feel so jealous of progression raiders that feel the need to belittle them, that says a lot about how pathetic you are. And that's coming from someone who isn't a progression raider. Last tier I got my defender title two weeks before 4.2 hit, and two heroic modes down. This tier, I'm still 5/7 normal and I'm content with that.

Of course the same goes for progression raiders who look down on those who don't have the time to devote to raiding 3 or 4 nights a week.
