I edited to make a better point. But Mario is, actually, socially acceptable and a social mark. But it only got that status afterwards, hence why I edited.

Exactly my point.
I could go further and analyze the time WoW was launched and the time that being a gamer started to be socially accepted and how WoW helped develop that while, at the same time, used that to leverage itself.
But I will not because Im lazy.
