Ok so with this being added (thank you Blizz), what is your main class and what will you be transmorging?

My main character is hunter, even though I have a pally and mage with better gear :/

I'm stuck between T2, , T6, T8 heroic, and T10 (I like the wooden look, so serious)

Advantages:
T2: Total Dragonslayer
T6: Eyes are cool
T8: 4/5 with the old gladiator hood makes me look cooler than Sylvanas.
T10: See wood.

So what are your plans and why?

*no hate on tiers. If you don't like it, fine; some people do >.>

Did they add this already? I thought it was with 4.3?

Black Mageweave set FTW - (only applies to female toons)

Also, I'm kinda pissed. Just last month or so I cleaned out my bank. All those awesome-looking weapons I could have used. Smiley: mad

I plan to start a new thread on transmogrification because three is not enough.

My main is a paladin so my initial thought was the Judgement set. However, I have a feeling that most pallies will do the same, so I'm going to be "different" and use the purple Judgement gear (lvl 68-70 blue gear from TBC) with the 2handed sword Despair from Kara cause I think it looks great together. My second choice is the 10man T8 from Ulduar.

For my tank set I think I'm going to use the low level plate gear that looks like the SW guards just because I couldn't think of anything better.

It is, it's not live yet.

Also, is this thread really needed?

Yes, the more transmorg threads there increases the chances for one to fall of into an epic derail, the forum is about due for one.

This kinda pissed me off when I first read about it.

CLEARLY, this could have been announced the minute plans to actually implement it were finalized. And they
absolutely should have been, for precisely this reason. Could you have provided a cement release date for it? Of course not. But it's absolutely the better alternative, imo.

I mean, before now, they've only ever said that they had looked at it, but didn't have any immediate plans. But, clearly, that was not true the last time it was asked (in the last FaQ). Or it was at least a seriously stretched truth. They could have at least said something like, "Well, we don't have any current plans to release a system to allow players to choose their gear by appearance, it is something that we have looked at and would very much like to visit in the future. Players might consider holding on to any weapons or armor pieces they have ferreted away, just in case."

I mean, c'mon, would that be so hard?

(No, I am not at all bitter that I cleaned out all of my toons' banks two months ago).

I can live with having to get gear pieces again to be able to use the model. What's really annoying me, though is that I still won't be able to use my most precious piece on my druid - Earthwarden - because Blizzard has simply completely stopped putting 2H agility maces into the game (Lightborn Spire from the Quel'Delar quest being the highest level availailable). So while I have the source item in the bank, there is just absolutely nothing that would work as a target.

THAT is a problem.

I'm still debating on what to wear. My mage will likely get something TBCish. T4, or T5, probably, since I have enough of the sets to do so. T6 would also be nice, but since I'm missing the hat, I may not do that one. T1 would be awesome, but she never got her shoulders, so likely not gonna happen. Quel'delar as her weapon assuming I never get that stupid staff.

My paladin will get the recolored(purple) T2. Because that's what she always should have worn.

Warlock is getting T5 with T1 helm as was seen in that one story with the screenshots posted here a while back.

DK? No idea.

As my druid is the only toon that has a lot of old gear it simplifies things.

Will likely go T1 with the T4 helm if I can't get the T1 hat to drop. It is actually what I currently wear in town anyway.

Mogging your gear has become the new shorter slang term for transmogrification. Even a blue poster used
"Mogging".

Now for fun go look up "mogging" on goggle and the first hit which is the urban dictionary definition. After looking it up today, I learned something new I probably didn't really need to learn.

I've gotten pretty excited about this. Yesterday I started farming BC dungeons for gear. Going after the purple and blue recoloring of priest T2. So far I have three of the six pieces, which isn't too bad. Also working on getting together the mats for the Shadowfrost tailoring set, and the off tier pieces that match with that. I still haven't decided what to do for my mage or my druid yet. =/

My DK is one of the few characters I'm looking forward to "mogging" come the patch. After you leave the DK starting zone, the gear you collect turns as anti-DK as possible up until Northrend and even then it's more viking themed than it is death/undeath themed.

I'll likely be turning my outfit into that of the starting set (green or blue) of the DK zone. I'll also finally be able to make my sword look like an actual runeblade and not some abomination like this.

Edit: Unless you need the item in your inventory, in which case I'm going to smack a *****, because you can't go back and get the DK starting items, which means I'd have to level up a Death Knight... again... again... again. Smiley: banghead

I'll be turning my Shaman into this. I just have to go farm the gear first.

I think I still have my mage's starter robe in her bank. It was a given I'd keep the DK starter stuff.

Turns out I'm better at throwing out virtual stuff than real stuff. Normally I'm bit of a pack rat, but apparently not in video games.

I have a lot of cool-looking gear stashed away so I'm not sure what I will use (though I suspect I will change from time to time). It is unfortunate that a lot of my hats and weapons are of types that wouldn't be usable as sources for mogging though. I'm also at a point gear-wise where I am hoping to get upgrades (being in mostly T11 and Firelands daily vender stuff) so it may make more sense to just mog a cool hat and save my tier set mog for later when my current gear is a bit more stable.

Right now I have full T1, T6, T7 and T10 along with the full upgraded Dungeon set for my Shaman. I have an almost complete set of T2 minus the helm although I do have the level 80 look-alike helm to go with it. I also have the complete ZG and AQ sets but those sets don't cover all the slots and I haven't searched to find what goes good with them yet to fill in the holes.

My Warrior has complete T1 and the AQ set but needs some gloves to match the AQ set to really make it worthwhile to mog. The T1 looks good except for the helm which I hate. I know there's some bikini armor out there though so I may search for something less formal. Heheh

My Paladin has the Dungeon set and T1. I don't get into BWL much so farming the T2 that everyone wants is not something I'll be working on soon. I might farm the BC recolor though as it does look pretty sweet.

My Hunter has both T1 and T2 but I will probably stick with the T2 simply because I just love the Dragonstalker set. I'm not sure whether to use the Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix from Kara with it or my Hunter quest bow with the animations that doesn't really go with any sets but still looks really cool. I actually have quite a few bows stashed away on my Hunter so maybe I will switch those looks around rather than go with an entire set look.

My Mage just finished her T1 set but she's only level 80 so it might not be worth it to mog her gear every time she finishes a few quests. Heh

So many choices!
