mmo released toon male - female ratios.

Orc females are the rarest and not surprisingly Draenei are the only race with more females than males, big booty for the win.

Other than my main all my toons tend to be female as they are easier on the eyes. What about you all?

I guess people don't want to play ugly women.

Don't get why there are so few female Orcs, though. Definitely not the worst female model.

Female orcs > all.

Most of my toons are female, tons of trolls and then a couple orcs. I love dwarves, but I don't play Alliance anymore.

Most of my toons are male except healers. For healers I almost always roll females. My guild bank toon is also female.

I think that just because the male to female ratio is higher for female dwarves, that doesn't mean there are fewer female orcs than female dwarves.

I'll admit though, I am surprised that all of the races except Draenei have higher rates of male players. Especially goblins. Female goblins are so much cuter.

I don't have a male character over level 15. I just get bored of characters when they're not female(this holds true of most any game in which I have a choice).

I do intend to make a plate wearing male Worgen simply because of a fan art I saw on the Blizz site that makes them look badass. Here's hoping I can stick with him.

My worgen is male because I heard the female laugh and felt an urge to putty my ears closed.

I think I've at least started females and males of every race now. The only characters of mine that have made it to the cap thus far are male (a couple of Nelfs and a Human). However right now I'm playing a female Dwarf Pally and female Draenei Warrior. The warrior will at least level high enough to cap her skills. I'd like to take the Pally to the cap and heal some, but we'll see how long my interest holds out.

I'm all over the spectrum I suppose. Smiley: wink

Male characters.

Though I hear some West African frogs have been known to change sex from male to female in a single sex environment...

Life found a way.

The question is how all those raptors got the cash needed to pay Blizz for paid character changes. It's not like they could break into homes and steal stereos in order to fund their mission. They'd have to be able to open doors...

A lot of wrasse, a type of fish, actually change sex at some point in their life.

And Tails, of course Draenei have more females than males, the huge booty factor + a tail will do that.

It doesn't help that the male draenei model is a bit rubbish. He looks like he has a pillow down his vest and a stick up his ***** I mean, both of their run animations looks weird when strafing, but the male looks like a constipated waddle from the back, too.

I agree and feel the reverse way about worgen as I think the male toons have better art than the females.

Most of the other races I've actually played for a few levels it is a wash aesthetically with regards to the animations. But for those two races the gender of the avatar makes a large impact on my ability to play the toon.

When I first started playing WoW, I made female characters mainly because I'm a girl and also because I don't really like the look of bulky muscle men. I made female Trolls on Horde side because I thought they were the best looking female option (plus I like blue skin and wild colored hair) and my Alliance characters were all Night Elves because I liked the look of that race much better than any of the other Alliance female options.

After playing the game for several months and seeing the other races (and genders) in action, I realized that male Trolls really had great animations and so I tried making one on another server just for fun. I really liked it and eventually made a few more on my main server. Later I tried male Blood Elves and found that I liked them much better than the female ones (can't stand the female animations and noises).

Now I don't have any qualms about making male characters. I have expanded a bit beyond the two races I started with but I still generally make characters that I like looking at. There are some races that I stick to just one gender and some that I will play both genders. There are also some that I just can't play even though I have tried.

My preferred combos:
Male and female Trolls
Male Blood Elves
Female Night Elves
Female Draenei
Male and female Dwarves
Male and female Goblins
Male and female Worgen

I'd immediately play any MMO that let me play an Arana~esque character.

When I re-rolled alliance on whatever server I'm on (see my sig), I made all 10 of my characters at one time. The only one that's a male is my worgen druid because of the aforemention female worgen laugh issue.

Whether a character is male or female for me really comes down to what race they are.

Orc - male
Troll - male
Tauren - female (the males are too damn big)
Goblin - female
Blood Elf - female
Undead - male (I hate the female undead voice)
Human - female
Gnome - female
Dwarf - this one can actually be either one, my current dwarf is a female
Worgen - male
Night Elf - female
Draenei - female

I prefer female toons as well. If I'm gonna stare at a backside while I play, I prefer it to be a nice one! My Horde toons are invariably Blood elf or goblin women because, let's face it, the others make you say DAYUM!

That being said, my warrior is a human male. He's my final toon, and for once I'm playing a toon that resembles me :)

Damn furries...

Seriously though, it didn't surprise me that female draeneis are more popular than males, it just surprised me that they're the only race that has more female characters than male ones.

On the subject of female Draenei...

One of my old coworkers had a body just like a female Draenei- I miss those days.

...minus the tail and backwards knees, mind you. She had a spectacular side profile... Smiley: drool2

I have mostly female toons. i am Alli, mostly, and other than male dwarves and gnomes, i just cant roll a male toon.
On an amusing note though, i did get a chuckle when i zoned into a in process random with my fem dwarf prot warrior when i got a "sweet a real tank" in party chat. When i asked what they meant, i got a response of "your a female dwarf tank, you have to be leet" i lolled and finished the run.
