i have lost my direction arrow
i use it while doing quests
it was there but has disappeared
how do i get it back?

Which arrow are you talking about? Minimap arrow or a big arrow on your screen pointing towards something, like a GPS? Because that might be an addon and then I'd need to know what addons you're using. Might be Cartographer (still used?) or Carbonite (does it have an arrow?) or TomTom (does it still exist?).
Please "talk up" if your comprehension white-shifts. I will use simple-happy language-words to help you understand.
Try opening your world map (press M) and click on one of the quests in that zone, see if the arrow comes back. Alternately, right-click the circle beside a quest in your quest tracker, and track it. I find that the arrow tends to vanish for no reason sometimes, and it can also go away if you have no quests for the zone you are in.
Check between the couch cushions.
