Well, another weekend has passed us by and it's time for most of us to go back to work.

Did you guys accomplish your goals this weekend or did real life get in the way?

I got my priest to 85. Now begins the long trek of gearing up. I dinged with an iLevel at 313, which isn't bad, but I have a long way to go to join my guild's raid team.

Raided on Saturday and we got down Baleroc and Ryolith, woo hoo! Two new bosses in one week for a four hour raid is pretty good I think. Especially when the group hasn't raided together for two weeks. Weren't even any caster DPS drops to roll on, which kind of sucked, but I did win the roll on a BoE tank ring and 2 living embers. Sold the ring to a guildie, and now waiting for the embers to sell on the AH. Once they do I'm going to buy one of the Chelley's daggers. They aren't an ideal upgrade for a shadow priest since there's no haste on them, but with the huge spell power bonus it doesn't really matter. I can wait to get another 2 later to make my boots.

Also played around on my mage a bit more. Put together a BWD for her, and not a single mage thing dropped. Although really the only things in there I can use are the shoulders and the bell trinket. Still, I'm having a lot of fun with frost. I don't care what anyone else says, I'm going to practice and practice until I get good with it, and I'm going to raid as frost (provided my raid leader for an alt progression group on Friday nights is okay with that).

I only got enchanting to 285 on my warrior, short of my goal of 300. That's fine though; because I wasn't spending 10 gold each on dust. Cooking is somewhere north of 325 now, so that's all well and good. Fishing is almost 225. I'll probably ding 50 tonight, and can start working with Outland goods.

Also I nearly got the mage to 72. I've decided I dislike Dragonblight and moved back to the Fjord. Finally I got 2 levels on the Pally. Almost to that portal! Smiley: grin

I'm signed up for the usual raid Fri and Sat evenings. Hopefully I can go but that depends on whether or not everyone shows up and if anyone has to sit out. One kind of sucky thing about being melee is that the fights seem to favor ranged so when we have too many dps, it's usually one of the melee that sits. I'm also sick with a cold which means that while I really want to raid, I may also feel like just offering to sit out if I feel really yucky tonight. :(

We downed Shannox but decided we had too many melee to try Beth (plus we were having trouble with the trash pull right before her >.<). We cleared most of BWD instead and then went back on Saturday night and downed Nef (who gave us trouble since we were missing one of our strong healers) and then cleared BoT fairly cleanly. The caster shoulders dropped but we had an elemental Shammy in with us so I didn't roll on them even though they were a huge upgrade for my offspec and would have given me the achievement for cataclysmicly epic which I still don't have because I simply can't seem to win a roll on the shoulders from Nef or Cho'gall. *sigh*

My friend's raid is Sat afternoon and I think he's got more ICC stuff on the calendar. We'll see what happens.

We cleared ICC and did a few achievements and did frost wing on heroic. I had my Hunter in there for a while but was getting frustrated at how bad I am at playing a Hunter in a group so when we needed another healer for H Dreamwalker, I grabbed my Shammy and finished the rest on him (especially since we wanted good dps for H Sindy).

I will do the usual dailies on my main (Firelands mainly) and probably some on some alts as well. I want to play some of my non-85 alts but I'm not sure which one I will feel like playing.

Did my main's dailies and some on alts. My friend and I spent a while last night getting the achievement for the stuff in that underground Firelands daily area. I managed to fall off the floating rock 'bridge'. I have no idea why they wanted to make it so tough for people to just get to the dailies. We'll have to do more of those dailies too so we can get the bombing run daily achievement done too and I'm not looking forward to having to jump on little rocks and some of the other stuff you have to deal with doing the Talon Druid dailies. I did all of Azshara on my level 21 Warrior. I'm kind of enjoying having his experience turned off so I don't outlevel things more than I already have. I think once I finish Ghostlands and Silverpine on him, I'll level him up to about 23 or 24 and then turn off exp again and do the next set of zones and dungeons.

Real life - I'm supposed to go out and see family on Sunday but if I am still sick with this cold I will most likely not go. I know people like seeing me but I don't want to risk getting my elderly mother sick nor any of the cute little grandnieces and grandnephews (I think that's the proper term?) that are typically running around my sister's house.

I was still too sick to go driving all that way. The only thing that helps me feel better right now is Nyquil and I can't drive while taking Nyquil. I'm feeling a bit better today but still not up to a 75-90 minute drive one way.

I tanked my first heroic this weekend! My first time tanking on my Warrior too (aside from two or three attempts in the early 60s.)

Actually, 1 failure and 1 success. On my first queue-up I got put into Throne of the Winds. I just could not keep aggro on groups. Thankfully someone gave me pointers after our 4th wipe. I started doing a little better, then I oopsed by charging ahead without the healer. My *** was promptly kicked.

2nd queue-up - HHoO. I joined in medias res in the room with the 4 elemental dudes. I proceeded to tank the **** out of the place (of course we just went straight from P'tah to Ra, skipping all the others, but still...). I did wipe a couple times when Ra made the whole floor glowy, but we finally overcame that and I completed my first heroic and gained a little more confidence as a tank.

Also the Crocolisk daily came up on Old Man Barlow, so my three highest characters each got a baby croc pet. Smiley: smile

Looks like my friend the tank is going to try to burn through to 85, so I'm going to try to keep up. I suspect the pace is going to be brutal

Success! For the most part, I stayed inside and in front of the a/c. When I knocked off last night, I was 84 and 47% of the way to 85. The pace was, indeed, brutal but it was mildly amusing to push myself to keep up with the younger crowd.
