As far as I can tell, none of my flying mounts are usable in no-fly zones either. I think it's only "special" flying mounts, like the recruit a friend rocket, the two purchasable mounts, the love rocket, etc, that can do that.

My Hyppo works :)

I also need a Valentine's mount.

Or are we talking about WoW?

I don't think I read it in the patch notes, but we finally get an achievement for hitting exalted with your guild, though it doesn't net any achievement points

I didn't see anything about it in the notes, but craftable PvP gear has gotten a big upgrade--not only have the leatherworking/tailoring/BS patterns been changed to create higher item level gear, but there have been new recipes added to the trainers. My LW learned two new PvP cloak recipes, jewelcrafters get a bunch of new neck and ring patterns, and my scribe can now make PvP relics. I'd assume that tailors probably got some caster cloaks.

I got my shaman up to 85 and kitted out in full crafted pvp goodies (still need to pick up a pvp trinket, tho), and was pleasantly surprised to discover that without a huge gear gap like I normally have to deal with, I don't suck quite so much at battlegrounds as I thought. (Either that or, more likely, there are a lot of people who suck just as much as I do. But hey, I'll take what I can get.)

That was an announced change, I think Rusttle posted about it first in the Tradeskills forums. I totally understand people not reading one of Rusttle's posts, though.

I was able to ride my standard-issue green wyvern in no-fly instances last night. I hadn't noticed before because most of my toons have a mount macro that uses a ground mount in no-fly zones. My shaman doesn't, though, because I didn't want to waste a macro slot with all my healing, Enhance, and Ele macros.

I used to be able to turn into a Sandstone Drake, then put on my Burgy Blackheart's Handsome Hat, to transform into a Pirate who could fly and carry people under his arm. Sadly, I can no longer transform into a pirate from Drake form.

When your character uses a mailbox or opens the map, there is actually an animation of your toon looking at a map. I think this looks great!

'Course this means everyone will now know how directionally challenged you are when you consult your map every 30 seconds.

I didn't notice that. Cute. I'll have to look for it.

I read about it on MMO before the patch, but I don't think it actually made it into the patch notes.

You're right. It was featured on the WoW website under the 4.2 changes, but seems it wasn't actually on the list of notes.

My dragonhawk seems to get excited and hold aggro if we fight too many things in a short period. he then runs off and attacks the nearest red or sometimes yellow mob. It doesn't seem to happen after a single kill, only when 3 or more come close together

One thing that may be new - or maybe I just never encountered it before. On a PVP server, I keep getting ganked in a major settlement - Honor Hold in Outland. At least once it was some ultra high level butthead that took me down and then wiped out all the NPC characters in the same location. For some reason, I thought locations like that and Gadgetzan were off limits for such attacks. Certainly he got no XPs or honor points for wiping out players and NPCs twenty levels or more beneath him. I'm still both amazed and somewhat appalled that thee are apparently some players who seemingly have no interest in challenges or self-improvement but seem to wander around looking only to ruin someone else's game.

You've never been guaranteed to be safe in any contested area, including Tanaris and Hellfire Peninsula. The fact that no one ganked you there before is just luck, especially with Gadgetzan - I used to see people there all the time.

Yeah, people are ********. I've never understood the fun in making other people miserable, but some people just get off on it I guess. Back when I was on a PvP server, if I was wandering around and saw a low level ally toon, I might kill that person once (and that's a huge might, most of the time I left them alone), but after the one time I'd move on.

What's even more pathetic is that those high levels corpse camping low levels will often times boast about it. "lulz I just pwnd you."

Congrats you brain dead moron for doing something a 2 year old could do.

I guess I'm too ethical. A couple of times when I was hide hunting in lower areas I ran across much lower level horde types trying to quest and avoid me at the same time. Not only did I leave them alone, I even sent one poor slob a message, like, relax, dude, I'm not hunting YOU!

This is the stance I take and suggest my guild members take. Unless said honorless target is causing a problem, let them be. Occasionally, I'll snare them or sheep them just to scare the crap out of them. Maybe, if I'm in a really bad mood I'll kill them once...

But it drives me nuts when people go out of their way to grief someone who is offering them nothing other than a cheap laugh. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I'll admit, I did kill a lowbie last week. But he was flagged on a PvP realm (just tried to do the HFP pvp objectives, I guess) and ran his mount through all the mobs around me while I was doing archaeology. And he happened to stop right around where my node probably was. He was asking for it. Smiley: nod

It is now 100% easier to target dead mobs or keep attacking dead mobs.

Yeah I noticed that in my raid last night. Our boomkin kept attacking dead mobs to "pad the dps meters."
