...the game manages to pull you in!

I just got back from taking the family to Orlando for vacation, and we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom for one of the days. We're sitting there at the entrance to the park and something is very familiar. It took me a couple minutes to get it, but then it hit me: the entrance music to the park is the Sholazar Basin music.

I spent the rest of the day looking for herbs to pick and wondering if I could skin the animals.

Damn you, Blizzard!

You could have.

Like, really? Literally?
I wonder who copied who?
Being a HUGE anti-Disney-Expansionism person, I would love to see them get sued for something stupid as **** like that.

Jay, I did some research and found it's been used since at least October. I can't imagine they'd be getting away with that without some kind of license from Blizz, but it seemed damn peculiar to me.

On the other hand, my wife flat out refused to believe me and said it was my imagination, so I took a video with the camera and then played it alongside the in-game music when we got home. She's a lifelong Disney freak (and thinks WoW is silly), so I enjoyed a little MMO corruption of her idealistic playground :)

If this is the song you are referencing to then the guy who made the video said he got the song from Disney's 2003 soundtrack. Pretty sure Scholozar Basin wasn't around in 2003.

I have no clue what exactly the song I'm referencing is, as it wasn't ME that went to Disneyland. The girls want to go there, being from a land without a Disneyland. On one hand, yes, every child living in America should go to Disneyland once.
On the other hand, Knott's Berry Farm is in the same area, and 20000000x as fun..... and Snoopy > Cinderella.

Lol I know. I rushed through that post as I was getting ready to leave and realized in the car that it doesn't make sense having you quoted.

No, Hyo, that's not the tune. It's the background music from Sholazar, the slow tune with the soft flute flowing through it.

Also, found a link from Tankspot about this. FWIW, one poster claims to work for Disney and confirms it.
