Odd question about International PlayFollow

At first I'd be excited if plants could answer phones and take messages, but then they'd have to write it on paper and that just seems kind of barbaric.

Maybe the radiation came as a result of the method by which the plants were mutated into a state of being capable of answering phones. In which case radiation exposure might be a real point of concern in that scenario.
