You already posted this once, here.

I'm guessing the thread became invisible to you and you thought it had been removed. It hasn't, it's just been rated below the default filter level. The reason it's been rated below the filter level is because, ultimately, it's a silly thread. We can't tell you what class you'll have fun with, only which classes we had fun with.

You can turn off the filter by changing the option at the top of the thread index from Default to Never. Most posters have already done that, so most of us can still see your first thread.

Posting an identical thread would be considered spam, which is not recommended here.

I understand that you might not be familiar with the way the forum works, hence this informative (hopefully) post before someone comes along and suggests you defenestrate yourself, or something similar. At least now you'll know why if they do. Smiley: smile

It is also sometimes helpful to mention if you are not a native speaker. OP, are you French by any chance?

Out of mild curiosity, does my English show that I'm Danish? I mean, not that most people know what the hell Danish is, aside from pastry, let alone how Danish grammar works, but I'm curios how noticeable my nationality is.

Wondering if my English teacher deserves a written apology.

I wouldn't have guessed it.

Then again, I've seen native Danes write Danish that could kill lesser-minded if they read it out loud. It's hard to tell where someone's from based on their text, in my opinion.

Well, avatar aside, not particularly.

Erm ... yes. After a bit the errors go beyond what one would reasonably expect from a lame trolling attempt. By the time you'd made a few posts, some of the word choices stood out.

Might I recommend less of an SMS style and a browser that supports spell checking? Most people understand if English isn't your first language, but will have a better impression of your abilities if you catch some of the more glaring errors.

The reason a lot of us are harsh on people who don't have decent posts (spelling and sentence structure) is due to how pathetic some posters are when English is their native language. Without any of us knowing where you are from and previous education levels we tend to jump to conclusions and assume that said poster is just being really lazy. Follow Rhodekylle's advice though and stick around. We have cookies! Unfortunately Mazra ate them all. >.>

More like our c, q, w, x and z's. No indigenous Danish words contain those letters.

If I hadn't seen you mention that English wasn't your native language before, I would have never known. Your written English is better than that of most native speakers that I interact with.

Mazra asking if his english is good always seemed to me like the cute girl asking if she looked good in her dress, more fishing for compliments than anything else. Honestly, if I had just stumbled into this forum recently and read some of your posts, I never ever would have guessed that you were Danish or anything. Although, I live around a lot of rednecks and see plenty of atrocious text messages and facebook status updates.

Wasn't fishing for compliments, to be honest. I was just curious if my nationality was noticeable from my syntax.

Take the following sentence, for instance:

English - I walked down the street and suddenly she was there.

Danish - Jeg gik ned ad gaden og pludselig var hun der.

See how we switch some of the words around? In English, the pronoun comes before the verb, whereas in Danish, the pronoun comes after the verb. Sorry if it's not called a pronoun. I'm having some difficulties finding the proper English name for that term. In Danish we just call them 'grundled'.

I was merely curious if any such mistakes had shown up in my posts. Smiley: smile

Emily was a one time poster who copied my previous post and mixed words around so it looked like something that is the norm from non native English speakers that don't use spell check or have full grasp of grammar and sentence structure. So I reported her.

That and she had three gold selling links in her signature for Rift, WoW, and I can't quite remember the third. :l

I should probably edit my old post but I would rather people think I am going nuts. :P
