Well drinking is probably more widely accepted in Europe. If I drink at 10am here I'm either lonely or an alcoholic.

To be fair, I rarely get drunk before noon, but having a beer with lunch or a "morning bitter" with breakfast is pretty common here.

If I'm drinking extensively before noon, I'm either celebrating, or I've been out the entire night.

I usually don't casually drink too often. Sometimes I'll go out and have a few drinks or I'll have something with dinner when we go out. Though I did have an excellent hefeweizen with my cigar the other night.

Though drinking is definitely MUCH cheaper at home than at bars, at least here, unless you go on like Tues/Wed.

Yeah... Flipping someone off is essentially saying ********** you" to them, which some people might interpret as a sexual proposition. ;-) Most of the time it's not though.

It's pretty much cheaper here at home than in bars too. Can get a 24 pack of beer for like $10-15. A bottle at the bar would cost about $3 or so each. Then you have me... I'm more of a fruity drink/liquor person. Blue Hawaiians, Bahama Mamas, Strawberry Dacquiris, etc... Usually run around $8 or so each. Which is why I've pretty much stopped drinking. Unless, I make my own Brunette Russians or something.

Never said I pay for them lol. I'm just the type of girl that doesn't expect a guy to pay for everything. I work. I have my own money. I'm not helpless or high maintenance. But when we do go out, the guy and guy friends do pay for everything.

And not only that, some guys seem to think that if they pay for your drinks, that means you owe them sex.

I doubt most guys are like that, but there certainly are some out there.

That could be taken a few different ways, but I'll be nice and assume you just meant no sex with me. Which is perfectly acceptable. Smiley: grin

Hey, I've said before that I only sleep with married men if I have their wife's permission. I'm not totally without morales and I'm not going to help someone cheat. Smiley: tongue

I had to put my ex in a half nelson before she'd let me pay for dinner and such.

Mother raised me a gentleman, so I'll be a gentleman, even if I have to wrestle my dates for the check.

Or a lonely alcoholic...

Why would he be lonely if he had beer to keep him company?

And I respect that. Hey, if a guy wants to go and buy me food, I'm all for it. But if I had the chance, I would definitely pay for the meal (not just mine, I don't mind paying for the guy's as well). Won't turn anyone down if they insist on paying.

It's extremely rude to decline free food or beer, especially beer, if the source is trustworthy.

Well it depends. Is "is" just randomly bringing me a drink? Or am I seeing the bartender fill up that pint with cold goodness?
