If you are having an issue, you will need to call Blizzard Customer Service on the phone.

One word of caution though. Be sure in all your dealings that you go to the battlenet website by typing in the real url yourself. Never click a link in an email to go there. It may be a phishing attempt.

Let me see if I follow you here.

Your internet got temporary cut off, and it somehow made your battle.net account reset? You went back to play WoW, which apparently you already knew your password and log in email, which is all you need, but you forgot those two? You also forgot the name you entered or the secret question to it?

If you dont have any idea what was the "fake" name you had in and the answer to your secret question, or the email linked to the battle.net account, then its a tottal loss for you.

And honestly, I dont think this is half the story, sure you not forgetting something?

Thats the only way out. If its your account, you should have any piece of info for them to work on. Any CD keys? Credit card used? Answer to secret question? Email? Any idea on the fake name, altough its gonna be hard to explain them if you used a random anime name. (hello, my name is Kakarotto Sephiroth Jr.)

"which apparently you already knew your password and log in email,"

to reset your password, you need more then just the email adress and your password.but whatever,i got it workin now and i can log in(apparently it shows you the name when you get on the battle.net world of warcraft webpage)

I had the same issue recently. As said, a phone call is the only way to go - or keep better track of your name Smiley: tongue

I can understand your apprehension of using your real name for internet stuff, but as long as you aren't an idiot, your battle.net account is pretty safe. Follow basic internet safety protocol, get an authenticator and you'll be fine.

I have no problem giving my first and last name to a large business that asks for it for identification purposes.
THIS site doesn't have my real first name, just the name I go by.
When people battle.net me, though, they're always like "Who the hell is the Spaniard on my RID list?"

That's what notes for your friends list is for. :-p One of my REAL ID friends has her husband's name on her account instead of her own, so I just added a note with her main's name to remind me.

All it takes is for them to see me make an announcement about how much I love my Aussie (who also plays very much) or about how stoned I am and they usually realise "Oooooooh, it's that ******* hippie."

I was thinking you could just have one of your friends look on their friends list and see your name if you used RealID?

You can disable that feature. Which I have done because I don't know who my friends have as their friends. Maybe I don't want them to know me. =x

How do you do this? I don't want Delinja to see my real name.
