Dragonwrath, Taregosa's Rest

Sounds like it's going to be really awesome. I haven't been in a position to obtain any other legendaries before, so I'm pretty excited about this considering it's one I could use. The story line of the blue dragon flight choosing a new leader sounds really interesting, and I love the fact that you can turn yourself into a blue dragon with the legendary. Rewarding your whole guild once you get the staff is pretty awesome too, even if it's just a mini-pet.

^_^ i plan to spend about 100k gold in getting this weapon. My guild has already promised me to be the first person to have it in our 10m.

I'm really looking forward to the challenge and the quests on my lock but I am NOT looking forward to the drama among casters. My lock's 10-man group has 5 DPS casters I think (2 priests, 2 mages, and me). How anyone can figure out who gets to work on it first when "the whole guild will have to help" is beyond me. Larger guilds will need to armor themselves not for the raid encounters but for the in-fighting!

New weapon ability not mentioned in the blue posts:
Summons legendary amounts of QQ among raid members at random outbursts. Lasts 2 raid tiers.

Anyone know if it's just a caster staff, or if us non-chicken Druids get some love finally?

Seriously?

I checked Wowhead and there hasn't been a Feral Druid legendary since... ever? At least not since the last caster legendary.

I'll likely never get it, so I shouldn't care, and I know Ferals are a sucky class to make legendaries for, since no one else really benefits from agility on a mace or staff - except Hunters, but they'd get more out of a ranged weapon. It's getting kinda boring, though, never to have a legendary to at least work towards.

Last legendary Druid weapon was a caster staff, as far as I could see. And it's no longer available in the game.

*sigh*

At least enable Druids to dual-wield so I can go back and get those Twin Blades of Awesomewin.

Edit: I bet it wouldn't be too hard to give this new staff an on-use effect that transforms it into an agility staff. Sort of like the old Anathema(?) staff.

Good point.

Not that you all won't be rolling on the caster one or anything.

Never Mazra? Are you sure?

Last time I checked druids could use two-handed maces.

Last time I checked, strength wasn't a Feral stat.

I mean, hell, if any stat goes then you might as well say that every caster staff was a Feral item as well. Sure, intellect is useless, but it has stamina!

When Sulfuros was the it thing we also had Int on feral gear or did your memory blot that out?

By that time Feral was...well...stubborn druids who didnt raid because they weren't healing and didnt have Innervate.

There will be an epic staff, probably off Staghelm, that turns feral druids' cat form into a fire cat. Trying to find the citation of this.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eF4UxdaPKo&feature=player_embedded at 10 minutes. "Lets players turn into his feral forms." which sounds like bear = scorpion and cat = firecat. We'll need to wait for the item to come out to see if other classes will be stealing it.

No, my memory didn't block that out. I was just pointing out that at the time. Sulfurus was a decent feral 2h mace, other than the fact that the proc didn't work in forms.

I never get stuff like this. My guild and myself for that matter are just to casual and altaholic. But it is spiffy to dream about it for my new gobby mage.

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad that the new legendary staff makes no mention of Kralnor.

But in seriousness, that sounds kinda awesome from a lore perspective. Can't wait to see how it plays out.
